Moms- Need Help Finding a Lovey!

I could really use some help! My son's daycare has destroyed his lovey and it is very important to him. I would pay whatever it takes to get a new one for him but I can't seem to find it anywhere. It was originally purchased at Walmart 19 months ago and they don't have it anymore (at least at the ones near me, although I found one in pink which won't work!).

If anyone sees one and can help me I would gladly reimburse you for all costs and shipping to get it to me.

It is a tan blanket with a Winnie the Pooh head and arms attached. Torso is wearing a reddish shirt but I think it really only covers the sleeves since there isn't a body. There is embroidery on the blanket with Winnie and Tigger on it and the blanket is lined with satin. It has a brown tag that says Winnie the Pooh on the side. It's fairly small like most loveys and I originally got it in the infant department.

Different stores can have different stock.. I used to manage the Infant's DPT at a Walmart. They took those of the market a little awhile ago. I hope you can find it.. maybe in a Walmart in a small, remote location.

I'm furious at the daycare staff but really what can I do? It's not like I want my ten bucks back

I'll keep an eye out but make sure you also post on Kijiji - lots of Mum's on there and may see the ad and have a one they can give you especially if they are off the market.

One thing I have learned is that unless your child is atleast 12mos or older and able to tell you they like their blankie, dolls, etc,., don't send really well cherished items to daycare. All kind of things happen at daycare and I've experienced the same type of loss.

Are the ones in mydusty's links the same as your son's? If not, I'll take a look see in the stores around here too.

And if it is, get 2 or 3 of them just in case. I can empathize with your desperation. My older son had a favorite blankie that was lost at family camp one summer. Poor baby took months to stop crying for it as I couldn't find another exact one to replace it....until 12 years later at a church bazaar (brand new still in package)....I picked it up for him and he was thrilled as he remembered it well, lol.

Unfortunately the ones in the link are not exactly the same. Believe me, I've tried to fool him with ones that are very close... but he wants HIS Winnie

The blanket is all tan except for the brown tag and an embroidered design... I'll see if I can get a better photo of it. I am sure I took one once.

I've gone through eBay and Kijijji but so far no luck Seriously, I have one heck of a coupon stash. I will make you very very very happy if you can find me one! (in addition to reimbursement of course!)

I know the one you are talking about.
I think they were called Nunu's.. however, I can't recall if they had that nice Winnie and Pooh embroidery on it. They came in blue, brown and pink at Walmart.

Are we on the same page?
