Please Follow the Addressing Guide Lines below so that the Coupons / Trades get delivered faster .
If you follow them , the envelope will be read by the machines & human beings won't be involved ( that slows down the process ) ..considerably
Addressing Guide Lines : ( Important )
By ensuring that you have properly addressed your envelope or parcel you can help Canada Post to deliver your mail to the right place, faster.

Canadian addresses
- Put information such as title, floor, etc. above the street address
- Put a hyphen between unit/suite/apt number and the street number.
- Put the city, province and Postal Code on 1 line.
- Put 2 spaces between the Postal Code and the province.
Return addresses
Format the return address the same way as the destination address and place it in the top left corner of the envelope or parcel OR on the back of the item at the top.

I learned way back in the early 90's that the postal code belongs on the same line as the City and Province. It also helps to print in capital block letters. Easier for the machinery to recognize. Use the proper abbreviations for provinces as well. Alberta is AB not Alta as some still use.

I always put it on the same line as city/prov but wondered if I had been doing it wrong since so many people on SC put the postal code on a line by itself

well! interesting! I don't know about Canada, but in the States we learned about mail sorting in school and they said that with the equipment they use, the very first thing that's looked at is the zip code, so I guess placement is pretty important!
