oh, my...the gasworks! yes. it was the walk...y.s. to the gasworkks to the piccadilly tube. maybe, Le coque door...the music was amazing. rock...and a mr. sub at the end ogf the evening(the one across the street from yonge station....mmmmm...food).



and upstairs at the gas works, ????, Mcclean and mcclean were there a lot. can't remember the name.

Wow, my head is spinning with the memories. yeah the piccadilly tube I was there and there was the Nickelodeon, that was right by Le coque door or maybe it changed into the Nickelodeon. There was a place called Larry's Hideaway too on College near Jarvis I think. I can't remember what they called the upstairs at the Gasworks but I do remember seeing Carol Pope with Rough Trade there. We probably passed paths somewhere along the way back then! I'm sure theres a few more places I'll think of when I give it some more thought!!

Defunct punk club (expired sometime around the beginning of 1986). Was located at 121 Carlton St. Very good article by Cameron Gordon about the place here ("I've been to other dives in other cities, provinces and states but there was no other bar that could match the raunch of Larry's Hideaway. Truly the filthiest, most degrading bar I've ever ventured into," recalls one wistful patron). Property bought by city in 1993, now part of Allen Gardens.
I remember it well. LOL
