Hi everyone!

I'm very sorry for the big mess on the forum yesterday. The forum software had been aging for a while now and I was working on upgrades and new great sections for SmartCanucks. However yesterday the system just gave up totally after it got hit by a terrible virus. Some of the things the virus caused:
- It made SC redirect to a Nazi website
- It made SC send out spam emails to members.... I'm terribly terribly sorry!

This forced me to do the upgrades overnight and launch the new design and sections about a week or two ahead of schedule! This means that there is still a lot of work that needs to be done on SC over the next week including:
- Restoring all the extra features that you are used to on the forum. E.g. ability to expire, iTrader, company tagging, gender icons, etc.
- Tweaking the forum to make it as easy and user friendly as possible for you. Also making it easy on the eyes. Any feedback on the current look is welcome.
- Fixing the new sections and adding content to them.
- Adding a new awesome trading system that I have been working on for a while now and has taken all the feedback you provided into account.

So basically over the next week or two you're going to see gradual restoration of features as well as loads of exciting new stuff. After that SC should be back to normal with the addition of loads of new tools to help you trade, coupon and hunt for deals better.

I welcome your feedback and if there's something I'm missing or if you have suggestions for improving or fixing some please let me know. I will be keeping a very close eye on this section.

personally been a little peeved at what you can post etc - but i can just
imagine what the heck must be going on with others -
march 22? and still not fixed?
i saw that sc knew this supposed spam attack began
2 months ago - and started then to do a major change,

The original issues are fixed, we are working on improving the forum with things people would like to see in it as well as them coding in some stuff that vbulletin decided not to include that were in older versions (which likely were not put into vb4 for a good reason, but boo is willing to put them back if we see a need for them)

Also, I dunno what calendar you are working on, but the post which talks about the spam attack the day before it, so it is a month not two - but personally I prefer they do fix it than set a deadline and say we have done enough because it has been two weeks or whatever

- showed up on sc and no mod showed up for hours, and so i hoped that
this new undergoing would help people who click on stuff they shouldn't

You do realize the mods are all volunteers and don't live here on the forums 24 hours a day right..A lot of spam stuff if any shows up overnight when let me guess most mods are in bed.

going with the i should shut up logic - guessing a ton of 'likes' for that
but still mentioning whilst i do shut up - that a lot of scers who do not
know how to work (this version of) sc are frustrated and thinking it's their fault
for not being more computer savvy - and that is sad.
have no idea, (glad i don't) what new members are going though

Ok I don't see tons of sc'rs being unable to use the site but maybe there are some I guess. But that aside what does that have to do with your whole rant about spammers? Your last post was all about spammers which has nothing to do with people not being able to use the site.
