Awww, shucks......some days my soul isn't so gentle and quiet. Particularly when I'm driving...who gives those people their licenses anyway?! But I just take a deep breath and remember that they're probably put in front of me to stop me from breaking the speed-limit.....more than I am.....
There are a lot of gentle and sweet souls on these boards, Dave, and I count you among them.
That's what makes SC such a nice, soft place to land.....

When you finally realize you have managed to keep a house plant alive for longer than a year. That's an amazing feeling!

when you get a letter that a 5 year old grandchild has written themselves just for you, telling you how they love coming to your house It made me cry, lol yep, thats right I can get sappy too (but don't let that get spread around, it could hurt my image )

the fact that every night my DH gets up and moves to the arm chair so that I can pass out on the couch (my fav place to fall asleep) ... then he quietly sneaks to the bedroom, gets the bed totally ready and wakes me up ever so gently when it's time to get in bed. all i have to do is walk there and close my eyes again.
he clears off the clothes, plugs in the phones to charge, turns down the covers, turns off all the lights in the house, everything.
then he grabs my face and kisses me and says i love you my bub and off i go back to dreamland

that is really sweet. so many people forget the little things, but in reality it's all the little things combined that make life wonderful
