I talked to him last night after work, and he was really embarrassed about it but he actually forgot. Just full on forgot.
He apologized and everything, and he's going to take me out on Sunday night (thats the only night we ever get off work together).
I guess I need to write it in his calendar or something.. I'm going to steal his planner for next year and make a 2 week countdown on everyday leading up to it.

I don't think mine have ever been super bad about anniversaries or birthdays, my current one however, aggravates me on a daily basis by never responding to my text messages. I've gotten to the point where I don't even bother trying... He can get a hold of me when he likes...bah.

I hope the Sunday night dinner was something awesome
With me and DH, we are equal opportunity forgetters. Each of us bakes a cake for the other's birthday, but we've both forgotten or not observed anniversaries on numerous occasions. I remember two years ago we were camping on the anniversary of the day we met (there is no real "started dating" or other big anniversary), and DH woke me up (I was already sleeping) at about 11:30 at night and said - "Oh sh*t! I forgot to do anything for our anniversary - I hope you're not mad." My response (groggily): "Huh? Anniversary? Oops..." (Luckily, neither of our feelings were hurt as there was no point feeling bad when we both forgot)
So, I'd say that if it's something important to you, lots of direct and straightforward reminders are required, not a half-asleep tent conversation as my example illustrates

My husband and my 8 year old daughter never forget any day (including the day we adopted all of our pets??!!) I am usually the one who forgets. I always have to be reminded. Hope everything went great.

I agree with the comment about men getting too comfortable. They are romeo on the first date and then they just lose all interest in being romantic. Too many relationships become complacent which isn't good. I think you need to discuss this with him than hold it in. Happy Anniversary!

So glad to hear it worked out for you! As others have said, COMMUNICATION is the key!My DH's friends all wish they had a wife like he has. I don't care about anniversarys, birthdays, Mother's day etc. To me, you care all year and not wait for 1 day a year to kick up a fuss. But then, that's just me
