I missed that prediction you let some of us new comers know what that was......I am very interested!
    Thanks

Ha! No problem. Last year's peanut crop was terrible, apparently - and various articles urged consumers to stock up as prices would likely rise. I didn't really heed the warning as much as I should have, so my stock wasn't as great is it could have been.

Honestly, seeing the high PB prices breaks my heart for a variety of reasons: 1) I love peanut butter; 2) I know that food banks and various low-income families relied on PB as a cheap protein (and other nutrition) source.

The prices right now are crazy. I do think that the peanut crop is better this year (not positive, though) so I hope we will see prices going back to where they should rightfully be. But I'm not betting on anything - like gas, when prices go up, they tend to stay up, regardless of whether that price is still justified.

interesting. We LIVE on crunchy. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in this house depend on it. There was a 1.88 sale at Food BAsics about 6 months ago, I have learned my lesson. Next time kraft has a good sale on pb, I am stocking up!

I know this is an old thread, but my RCSS briefly marked their 2 kg Kraft P.B. up to $9.99 per the flyer, then 2 weeks later they dropped it back to the regular price of $6.34 and it's stayed there. We go through a lot of P.B. so I was happy with that, still higher than the $2 or $2.50 sale price for 1 kg that was available last year, but I'll take it.
