    Well I told you all I'd have an update by May and here it is. Dh and I have paid off our 3rd and final credit card Our very last tuition check was cashed yesterday and I have been able to save a large (large to us) amount of money We now only have 2 loans left to pay off. Dh did a dance when i told him our total debt was now under $10,000. We are saving for a down payment on a house, so hopefully we will be moved before fall. Either way I'll let you know how we're doing. Thanks everyone for all your help and advice.

    But doesn't your post mentions you still have "under $10000 debt still outstanding"... get rid of that too & then start saving for down payment..
