I have a 14 month old MinPin, all female, has the attitude to show for it, lol.
She loves going under my blankets and sleeping there for hours.
She`s a little loveable cutie.[ATTACH]161182[Last edited by rhinoswife; Mon, Feb 4th, 2013 at 05:04 AM.

The above puppy is mega-cute!
I don't have a dog, and don't know much about them - but just a cautionary tale to relate.
My sister's dog ended up very, very sick a few days ago - he got pancreatitis from wolfing down a chunk of ham (don't know how big).
Apparently ham and pork in certain quantities are horrible for dogs. He ended up at the vet's overnight, and my sister has to administer meds to him throughout the day and night... hopefully he will be okay, and it won't become a chronic condition.
Not sure of his age, he's maybe five - and is a cute little curly-haired mutt.
They sure didn't know of that caution, so I'm thinking others don't as well. My husband said their dogs used to always be fed pork (in the olden days, lol!), but maybe it's a more modern thing, with our meats having different additives or something. I did some googling, and sure enough, its advised to not feed these items to dogs.

WRT to the pancreatitis, it tends to happen to small dogs who are not used to having lots of fatty meats in their diet. Pork can really be an issue if fed raw (trichonosis - a parasite that needs to be killed via heat - can make for very upset tummies, to say the least). It also depends on the individual dog.
Bread is supposed to give pups an upset tummy - Lily dog goes nuts for it and eats it regularly. Chocolate is a big no-no, yet my aunt's 30lb mutt lived to be 16, sharing a bar of dark chocolate with her every single day of his life (I wouldn't do it, personally, but it worked for them). My aunt's new pup - a Maltese - thinks the seeds and core of hot peppers are the best treats ever.
