Stupid, stupid, stupid. Wait - make that STUPD, STUPID, STUPID!!

And based on the breathalyser reading, it doesn't appear he was just one drink over the limit! Combined with texting while driving, failure to reduce speed and resisting a public officer - he needs to be given a harsher sentence than the average Joe (or Micheal, as it were) just to prove that there is no favoritism when it comes to drinking and driving.

NASCAR has put him on probation for the rest of the year but that can change depending on the courts decision.

Good for him, and as far as I'm concerned it would be nice to see any NASCAR jackets being worn.

Ya the only time you see a lot of them is at the track. Few and far between and when you do see someone with one or they see you it's always 'nice jacket'!!!

Ya he's off to a good start, being DQ'd last night and now today. Personally I think he's over-rated.

I see NASCAR did not like the 2x2 racing and have made the radiator inlet 1/2 to 1/3 the size so the engines will overheat if they do that again. Also a popoff on the radiator at about 240 F.. Maybe if they all raced with big parachutes out the back end.. Whats everyone thinking about this style of racin..

Just played the clip (I didn't watch the qualifying).
Damn good thing the steering column didn't lock to the right!!

I find when DH is totally engrossed in Nascar and having a conversation with the TV, it's a great time for me to catch a nap. Then I can wake up the race is still going on and I can see the end. That's what I love about Nascar.

The racing on Saturday night sure was different for Daytona. I really think NASCAR was caught with it's pants down on this and are grasping at straws to try and fix it. The first problem is that the front and back bumpers match up perfectly so it's no problem to tuck right up behind the car ahead of you and stay there.

Didn't see or even hear about that. Was rockin to Rick Derringer & Edgar Winter.

The only thing I got for practice was this

notes: #1-McMurray slapped the wall late in the practice after losing a right front tire, will go to a backup car. Just after that incident, a jet dryer caught fire and left fuel on the track, so practice was ended as the track workers cleaned up the track.
