Neil Smith early bassist for AC/DC dies

Neil Smith passed away in the early hours of the morning, Sunday the 7th of April 2013. He was sleeping peacefully and surrounded by family. Neil is now in peace and is no longer battling with cancer. There is not a person out there who has met him and not felt like their lives were better for the experience. He was a loving and devoted father, a loyal friend and all round generous person. He was larger than life, and his passing will be felt. Thanks to all his friends for their support and love, especially during the final stages of his life.

RIP - Raveen, illusionist and hypnotist, died yesterday at 77 years old, of complications from diabetes and dementia.

Reveen is survived by four sons and his wife, Coral. His son, Tyrone, performs magic in Canada.

Test Tube Baby pioneer Prof Robert Edwards dies

The world's first test-tube baby, Louise Brown, has led the tributes to the pioneer of IVF, who has died aged 87.
Prof Sir Robert Edwards was knighted in 2011, five decades after he began experimenting with IVF.
His work led to the birth of Ms Brown at Oldham General Hospital in 1978. She said he had brought "happiness and joy" to millions of people.
IVF is used worldwide and has resulted in more than five million babies.
Prof Edwards died in his sleep after a long illness.
Ms Brown said: "I have always regarded Robert Edwards as like a grandfather to me.
"His work, along with Patrick Steptoe, has brought happiness and joy to millions of people all over the world by enabling them to have children.
"I am glad that he lived long enough to be recognised with a Nobel prize for his work, and his legacy will live on with all the IVF work being carried out throughout the world."

Oh, I loved Jonathan Winters, RIP...

So funny on Hee Haw and, of course, on Mork and Mindy - Hollywood Squares, too - and many more roles.
Always liked him on talk shows, because he could just riff... and get SO silly. Loved his voices, too.

“Our dearest Family,
This is the hardest thing to write to you. Your love and heart and devotion to Chi was unconditional and amazing. I know that you will always remember him as a giant of a man on stage with a heart for every one of you. He was taken to the emegency [sic] room and at 3 am today his heart just suddenly stopped. He left this world with me singing songs he liked in his ear.
He fought the good fight.You stood by him sending love daily. He knew that he was very loved and never alone. I will write more later.
