So I ended up going to 2 different SDM's today! Not impressed by that, but oh well!

Before I get into my brag, I will start off with my rant. The Koolaid Jammers were on sale Sunday/Monday this week for $1.69 (not as good as FB's sale last week for $1.00) but I had received some coupons in the mail from Kraft for Koolaid Jammers. I had purchased a box of Koolaid Jammers about 4-6 weeks ago and one of the packets in the box was completely empty so I called the company and told them about it and they said they would send me coupons for my troubles. This is the second time this has happened to me and both times, coupons were sent. I don't complain to companies unless it is legit, so I'm hoping no one just decides to call Kraft and complain for no reason!

Anyways, the coupons came in the mail on Friday and were for any Koolaid Jammers up to $4.99 off. To me, this means that I could purchase enough to amount to $4.99 and have the whole amount taken off. I was sent 3 coupons for the same amount.

The first transaction went fine but of course there was a limit of 4. I only wanted to purchase 3 at a time so that I got better use of the coupon...who wouldn't?!?! I took my items to the car and decided to go back in and get 3 more boxes and use another coupon. This time I had a different cashier and she had to go check to see how to enter the coupon. Strange, I thought, but oh well. I wait for her to come back and she tells me she can only take $1.69 off and asks me if I want to wait until they are not on sale to buy them? I tell her I was just in here and purchased 3 at the other checkout and she took the full amount off. This cashier told me that she couldn't do that and was only taking $1.69 off. I told her I didn't want them and pointed out that the coupon said "up to $4.99 on ANY Koolaid Jammers". She still insisted that it was only good for 1. I was not happy with that answer and told her I would go to a different SDM and try there. She just looked at me as if I was crazy!

Off I went to another SDM and grabbed 3 boxes and went to the checkouts. The cashier scanned the 3 boxes, looked at my coupon and took the whole amount off...no questions/hassles or anything! Just goes to show that it really does depend on the cashier and if you don't succeed the first time try, try, try again!

Sorry for my rant, but I feel better when I share with others!

    Now onto my brag:

9x Koolaid Jammers - $1.69x9 = $15.21 - $16.66 = +1.45 (just noticed that at the last SDM I went to, the cashier took off an extra $1.69
    3x 100 Calorie Snacks - $7.79 - $2.21 - $1.00 = $4.58 (used Buy 2 get 1 FREE and 2 save $.50 from TFT)
    2x Vachon Snacks - 2 for $5.00 - $1.00 = $4.00 (used $.50 TFT)
    1x Hunts Pudding 12 Pack - $2.99 - $1.00 = $1.99 (used $1 from coupons inside boxes of POGO's)
    4x Christie Thinsations - 2 for $4.00x4 = $8.00 - $4.00 = $4.00 (used BOGOF)
    2x Eggs - $1.99x2 = $3.98 - $2.00 = $1.98 (used save $2 wub2)
    4x Milk To Go - 2 for $3.00x2 = $6.00 - $1.31 = $4.69 (used BOGOF but cashier only took off 1 instead of 2 )
    1x Stouffers Sensations - $5.99 - $4.00 = $1.99
    2x Diego Bandaids - $1.25x2 = $2.50 - no coupons but great price!
    3x Royale Kleenex - $2.99x3 = $8.97 - $3.00 = $5.97 (used $1 from gocoupons)

Total before coupons was $66.43 plus $1.57 HST = $68.00.

    I used $36.18 in coupons and I also had GC's worth $17.50.

    My total OOP was $14.32!

Some great snacks! I have noticed too when ever you use a mfr coupon(especially with a hologram or the certificate kind)the cashiers look like you came from mars. I guess they don't get too many of them passing through the checkout.

the coupon states "up to $4.99 on ANY Koolaid Jammers" - so to me that means you can get the whole amount off. Besides the store would get reimbursed the full $4.99, so why shouldn't we as consumers get the full amount of the coupon??

your coupon was meant for 'any' one box of KoolAid Jammers, ie. 'any' being any flavour: grape, orange strawberry, etc.

The 'up to $4.99' clause meant that you could redeem your coupon at any regular price point up to $4.99, of course.

you got the deal you wanted, but I wouldn't be expecting this deal as a rule.

This reading of the coupon is correct.

Yeah, you're interpreting the coupon incorrectly. It's a FPC for any ONE item, up to $4.99. It doesn't mean that you can buy several and then deduct $4.99.

Just like B1G1 coupons -- the thinsations ones for example stated maximum value $3.99. I bought them on sale for $1.97 & got a box free -- it doesn't mean I can get 2 boxes for free because the coupon's maximum value is $3.99.

^ lol, I was gonna say exactly that. This type of coupon is not the same as say a $5 off coupon. If you get a $5 off coupon when purchase a specific product then you can expect to receive the $5 off total.

I guess we all have a different interpretation of how some coupons are read. I didn't mean to misuse the coupon at all. The first time I was sent the coupons, I used them at NF's and the entire amount was taken off and the cashier didn't even question it to only be used on 1 box. I guess I shouldn't have expected that to happen again.

From my experience the company coupons are for one item only. I had one from Johnson and Johnson for 6$ off Skintimate, but only ONE item, I waited until I found a three pack for 6$. Win.

It sounds like you had a FPC with a limit of 4.99$ which would only be good on one item. Some companies send vouchers(conegra, lillydale etc), which are good on multiple items, vouchers you can spend like cash(only on the specified items) but FPC with a limit, regardless of the price, you can only get 1 item. You still got some great deals though!

I too would agree that your coupon was really only meant for one item. Unlike the
Chapmans coupon that reads.....This coupon entitles you to 5.00 worth of Chapmans products. Therefore I've used this on a number of occasions for 2 boxes or containers.
