    I just wanted all you to know about something that happened to me and to please beware that this could happen to you as well. I canceled my house tv services back at the end of March 2012, because I was changing to Bell. I was canceling earlier so I knew there was going to be a cancellation charge which was a little over 600 dollars. So I got all the money together and paid it on May 5th 2012. On May 7th I got a notice for collections, so Rogers gave me like 2 weeks to paid it before sending it (which I have informed them this is was unfair. So on the collections notice it said I owed them 111 dollars for equipment. So I called them at Rogers:

    This is what I was told
    May10th: take your box back to the rogers store and they will give you your money back.
    When i got there i was told no we dont do that we send them away and you get the money in the mail by check. (so i go home with my box)

    May10th: I get home Im super mad right now call the center again ask for a manager she tells me whats going on, she then tells me I have to take my box back to the store and then fax her a letter showing I returned the item and she would then send me a check in 2 weeks.

    May18th:I call the center again because I have not seen a check( guy tells me o no, there has been no check sent to you, but I will take care of this and send you one out you should get it in 5 to 10 business days)


    June 8th: I called the center again because I still have no check( Im told 4 to 6 weeks starting from May the 28th and there is nothing they can do about the time and sorry that I was mislead)

    So after dealing with all of this I received a check on June 26. Now I have asked Rogers to refund all or some of my Cancellation charges, because I was going to go back to in them March when my contact with Bell is up and for all of the time I had to waste with them. They will not return my emails at all NOW. So Just a heads up we all want to save money but if you going to cancel early make sure you have the money!!

    they are big robbers my fiances mom cancelled there 2 cell phones last year they charged her the cancelation fee twice for each phone once in store payed in full then again a month an a half later....then i cancelled my contract with them as i got a very good discount deal with bell not only did i get charged a $500 cancelation fee they also gave my ex access to my account changed my plan from a my5 to a basic plan and charged me $400 in calling fees then sent it to collections a month later though i was glad for that since although it hurt my credit a little i negtiated a price of $600 to "make it go away" havnt heard from them since and will never go back to them

    Yea Rogers is just... ugh. The intellect of their customer service is astounding. I've had more than enough problems with my simple little cable and cell accounts.

    Rogers accidentally cancelled my cell phone before. They mixed up account numbers with another customer who had cancelled their phone. It was a headache to figure out.

    ive never had them cancel my accounts on there own before but they locked me out of my account before, 3 months of fighting with them so i could gain access to making changes again. They didnt want to admit they screwed up and added my dads details to my account assuming we where the same person.

    I guess that's their procedure to send anybody who cancels the account to the collection agency 2 weeks after cancellation.
    That totally took me off the bat when I cancelled my services with them earlier this year. I always pay my bills on time and never had any issues. When I received the letter from the collection agency I was shocked. I had to fax confirmations of everything showing I had returned the modem and paid my invoice in full. It was stressful. I don't like that kind of stress in my life.
    I am one of those people who pay the bill right on the next day after I receive it and I hate debts.
    Mortgage is the only one I can't pay in full and that's enough.

    I paid a $500 cancellation fee to end my cell contract early. I was ever so happy to pay this fee because of all the problems I was having with them. The customer service person was shocked I was willing to pay the $500 to run to bell.

    We used to have the problem of we would go in to pay our cell bill at a rogers store ... then we would get told that they never received any payment. Sure learnt to keep my receipts after that!
