The scariest part is what will happen if those chemical weapons fall into rebel/insurgent hands. Not all of them are nice guys and if something nasty is used on Israel, look out. Israel may not even wait for something nasty to happen before acting. They're watching Syria with Argus eyes right now.

Syria conflict : Aleppo shootings by rebels condemned
Human rights activists have condemned the public shooting in Syria of four apparent Assad loyalists by rebels in the battleground city of Aleppo.
Video posted online shows the men, who included the alleged head of a feared local militia, being put up against a wall and shot with Kalashnikov rifles.
Human Rights Watch has told the BBC the act was potentially a war crime.
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has said the nation's fate is being decided by the fight against the rebels.

Americans rumored to be looking to take him out covertly. I would say that has probably been true all along.

Syria's Prime Minister defects
Syrian Prime Minister Riad Hijab has defected from President Bashar al-Assad's government to join "the revolution", his spokesman says.
Mr Hijab was appointed less than two months ago and his departure is the highest-profile defection since the uprising began in March 2011.
State-run TV said he had been sacked.

Russia denies war-ship heading to Syrian port of Tartus
Russia's defence ministry has denied that three large Russian landing ships carrying hundreds of marines will soon visit the port of Tartus in Syria.
Earlier reports, quoting a source at the Russian general staff, said the ships would spend a few days in Tartus.
The ships, each with up to 120 marines on board, would take on fresh supplies of food and water, the source said.
Russia, a key ally of Syria's President Bashar al-Assad, has a small naval maintenance facility at Tartus.

They "claim" that chemical weapons were used. Now we all know that in another place and time they "claimed" weapons of mass destruction were used. We all know what happened with that scenario.
Personally I want the UN to go in and FULLY inspect before the U.S. starts dropping bombs. Even then, can we trust the results?
Yes I realize there are bodies everywhere but they also claimed that Hussein used chemical weapons on his own people .
You could not pay me to be in the place of people who must make these decisions.

We're often politically opposed Patty, but we agree here. We need to stay out of it. Who are the good guys? Who are the bad guys? Are there any good guys? Al'Qaeda has allied with rebel factions, the government is actively supported by HezBollah. The only good guys I can be sure of are the children and firing cruise missiles or dropping bombs on either side isn't going to help them one bit. I don't know what the solution is but NATO bombs and missiles aren't it.
