Saw two Woodpeckers today ... been driving all over the back roads these lasr few days and the deer are all over, it's unbelieveable (yes I know they are not birds! LOL) It' not uncommon to se like 12-15 all in one spot. I also spotted a hare. Oh and they other day I took a wal down the trail in the back yard and saw deer droppings ... and so did my WHITE Husky Shady, can you guess what she did??? Yep ... rolled herself in it, I had to come back and give her a bath ASAP... it was just gross.
But I do think I am lucky to be able to be surrounded by such beauty... less the deer droppings. lol

Walking along the sidewalk at a strip mall.
It was either admiring itself in the window or thought there was another one there, because at one point it was walking whilst strutting its neck!

Hi guys,
Birds are my favorite animals and I have feeders in my yard as well.
I have 2 birdbaths, and 2 weeks ago, to my dismay, I looked outside and saw a huge sparrow hawk sitting on the edge of a birdbath, ripping away at a starling. Of course that scared away all of my birds, including the Doves and there has been very few in my yard since. I had a heck of a feather mess to clean up off of the snow.
The intention of the feeders wasn't to set the birds up as food for birds of prey. The hawk was gorgeous, but that wasn't what I had in mind. sob sob.
I love the song birds. What a great thing to hear every day now !!
