Just got back from my local SDM. I was there right when they opened at 8am. The clerk was just putting out some chocolate. She said she only had 2 small boxes left. I bought 24 bars & some diapers etc totaling $110. I redeemed 50,000 pts and received 48,000 back!! So exciting. By the time I got back from loading my car, there were no more chocolates left. I then went to another SDM location but they were sold out as well. I'm still very excited that I got this deal at least once.

North and central Scarborough are pretty much cleared out of chocolate!
I went to do a redemption today so I went to 10 different stores looking for chocolate, well I was actually looking for SD HDCP memory cards. ONE store had lots of chocolate and a gentleman was trying to do a rough calculation on points so I helped him. He wanted 50,000 points so I sorted him out.

The cashier said "That's really helpful of you, why don't YOU buy some...?"
    Me: "uhh...I have some already!"
Cashier" Oh go on it's almost too good to be true! I wouldn't believe it until it showed on the receipt...
Me: " Um........Ok I'll take 112 Caramilks" hahaha I was tempted just to leave them in the store for someone else but they have a few cases of caramilks!

I got mine in south Scarborough, 2 different stores. Now I'm off to Harbourfront for the Toronto Vegetarian Fair and hopefully lots of coupons await!

You need to redeem 50,000 points to get 24 chocolates (worth $48), but then you'd get 48,000 points back. So you'd get the free chocolates but you'd have 2,000 points less than you started with...right?
A 50,000 point redemption would give you $110 and 55 bars...make it 56 bars and you get 112,000 bonus points. Way more points than you started with.

In London, the Adelaide and Huron store started to limit the number of chocolates to 8 per customer this morning as they had almost no stock. I now have about 250 chocolate bars.

I bought 12 of the Dark Chocolates ones today , got 24,000 BP ...those are the only ones I eat as apparently dark chocolate is good for your health

They had 2 types of Dark Chocolates ones , and both had the BP on them . So people who don't want the dairy milk ones can go for them instead and still get the BP

    So is this about right - if you buy 12 chocolate bars = 12 X $2 / bar = $24
    Bonus points = buy 4 bars get 8000 points - therefore 12 bars = 24,000 points
So you get back about $30 in points (22,000 points - $30 see below) - plus you make $6 + choc bars are free

    Is this for real?
    WHAT ARE YOUR POINTS WORTH?

    • PointsReward Value
    • 8,000 = $10
    • 22,000 = $30
    • 38,000 = $60
    • 50,000 = $85
    • 95,000 = $170

    yes its for real!

pretty much what people are doing though is redeeming their points this weekend ( because of the bonus redemption) and then redeeming on chocolate and gaining points and more free stuff, just out of pocket for the tax.

thats what i did, i redeemed for diapers, baby food, soda, etc and chocolate and made my points back with the chocolate bonus.
