We're all watching.
OMG - so far they've screwed up 3 plays in the 1st. None out, but we're down by 2.

Went to a Turkey Lunch with dbrother. I won a door prize and gave it to him to put on his apt. Door. I have been seeing a lot of crafts that are using pages from old books wrapped up into cones and then sometimes painted. Must be a Pinterest thing. They look very nice.
Then took him to vote as he is a poll clerk on election day.
Then, Lynn, I stopped in at the VV Boutique. I found a nice pair of capris that FIT!
And about 4 tops that will go with them. So I am happy!
BUT I found a very light wool suit with long sleeves and a longer jacket/coat that I will wear to spring and fall outdoor weddings. I won't FREEZE again. It's navy blue and Holt Renfrew so it will be very appropriate to officiate weddings.Last edited by avoncallingu; Fri, Oct 9th, 2015 at 05:46 PM.

So my oven sucks and I was weary of trying to make the cake. It either takes an hour to make a pizza or its burnt in 20 mins lol. Well my pineapple upside down cake which should take 40-45 mins was burnt to a crisp in under 20 mins lol. So I got all the ingredients assembled again and made a second attempt but this time with mandarin oranges because I had no pineapple left and it came out nice, phew.

^ That looks yummy, cabbie! You need to get your oven temp calibrated, and/or get a thermometer you can use to monitor the temp.
Good morning!
Very nice warm day ahead today!

Good morning all. Sunny, with clear blue skies.
Just got back from a walk, and so many of the trees have turned.
I think this is going to look, and feel, like Thanksgiving w/end.

Good morning, everyone!!
My, we're all so busy this weekend....Cabbie, that looks absolutely scrumptious!! Good for you!!
I'm preparing two desserts for tomorrow's dinner at our DD's home: pumpkin tarts (everyone finds a slice of a big pie just too much after dinner, so now they can have a tart or two and I can freeze the left-overs!), and for my DD who's been asking for one for a looong time now, a Boston Cream Pie from scratch, lol...should be fun. And I bought a beautiful white cake stand from HomeSense just for the occasion.Tomorrow hubby and I will prepare the dressing; I have fresh sage in the freezer from our garden and oh, it'll be so yummy in there!!
Our SIL will be deep-frying their turkey again, and I never thought they would be, but boy, are they juicy like that! Everyone else is doing other dinner sides.
Take some time to rest, everyone!!!!
Avon. Capris, eh? I....I just have no words......none. Good thing no one knows you down there...

Wow, you guys are all so busy with family dinner prep. Me, I'm doing absolutely nothing. I guess I've seen the last of family dinners. I hope you all have a great time.

Lunch is being served in the Smart Canuck Cafe,
Did you know that you can have pizza at any time of day?
Some people like it gooey & some people like it cheesy,
You can customize your pizza, it is really that easy,
Some people like pizza on the meaty side,
& some like tomatoes that are sun dried,
Some like peppers & some people like ham,
& I guess there are even some who like it with spam,
Some people like onions & a crispy crust,
& throw on extra garlic if you feel you must,
Pineapple, mushrooms, anchovies, salami,
It's your very own pizza, so add some pastrami,
I never thought pizza could be comfort food,
But I must say that I'm in a pizza kind of mood!
