Well, I'm a little ticked off. My garage door opener wouldn't work this morning.
I unplugged it, and tried to reboot - no go.
I couldn't reach the manual thing-me / rope to open it because it was over the top of the car. Finally had to put the top down on the car, part way because the ceiling's too low to open it all the way, and was just able to grab it and open the doors.
So, 1/2 hour later, I escaped, but was 1/2 hour late for my 1st appointment.

​I'm finally home and everything's done for today, everything that is except my dinner, but it's too late to cook, so I guess I'll be nibbling while I watch the game.

We are wading through getting our leaky basement fixed.
Sidewalk has been ripped out. Digging and fixing tomorrow.
Weather has been lovely!
I watched the last part of Leaders Debate.
I was impressed that everyone seemed so well prepared and didn't lose their cool. I wonder if Mr. Trump is behaving himself in their debate?

Lynn, also a part of it is him being alone, and he told me that. Not that he's scared or anything, not that.
Just someone to talk with.

Well a while ago we had a video chat - after some bumps on his side with reception, he was parked in his car by the side of a road. He got a nice campsite for the night, and is loving being in the outdoors.
Now the downside of technology, he's totally relying on his phone, google maps, GPS - and got lost sometime this aft and ended up in Drumheller - totally nowhere near where he was aiming for, lol! He loved seeing the surrounding area, though, he said.
He was blown away by the size of Calgary (4x the size of Saskatoon).
So he was tired, set up his tent and just wanted to enjoy his surroundings - he's in Kananaskis. Apparently there are wandering cows in his area, kinda odd, but they were warned.
He forgot to get something for supper, and is nowhere near a town, so he said food tonight will be chips and twix, lol!

He's headed to Canmore tomorrow - he can't wait to see the mountains, which was the goal of the trip for him.
At least when he called it had stopped raining and was sunny. Weather there should be good for the next days.

Good cloudy morning!! Off to camp for a few days...our grandson slept over so that he could go with us and the kids have to work today; DD just has some paperwork to pop into work for, then she can pack for camp, then both of them will join us for dinner there.

Placed an online order with m&m meats to pick up Tues. Get a call today wondering why I haven't picked it up yet. So I say its for Tues Aug 11th. She says umm no its for today one moment, she was friendly the whole time though. Comes back laughing and says oops you're right its for Tues, well its packed and ready to pick up anytime you want lol. Too bad I don't get paid till Monday.
