I hear ya, Babe...I just doubled this recipe and although the cakes turned out beautifully, puffy, didn't stick to the pans, it hasn't been taste-tested, either...it's the basis of the Boston Cream Pie I'm surprising our DD with tomorrow. I just made the custard and it sure looks watery, I hope it firms up in the fridge...with 6 T of cornstarch, it better!! :)Quote:

Not much sleep last night, but after I'm done on here for a bit, I need to get on with cooking - we are having Thanksgiving today. Need to get started on the cabbage rolls!
Hope everyone had or is going to have a good dinner. I ate too much so today is resting lol. My cousin sent a bunch of food home with me but im not thinking about that until probably tomorrow.

NFL Countdown on TV this morning, Boston Cream Pie looks gorgeous (the ganache turned out beautifully!), pumpkin tarts, done, DH and I made the dressing this morning and it is on its way to
our DD's in a crockpot ready to be plugged in there...um...what else...everything else is gone over there except the BCP; I'll be holding onto that for dear life, it's so tall!
So obviously, dinner is today at our DD's with both sets of parents.
It's a gorgeous fall day, +18 today, couldn't be more perfect!
I sincerely hope that whatever your plans are this weekend, that you enjoy them, that you stay safe and well, that you take time to relax and unwind, and that you have a lovely weekend!
