Yes Lecale I have had to use this recipe a few times!! It works the best of anything I have tried, was just coming on to post it for Hicks!!Our poor lab was bombed three times in one summer when we had a particularly bad skunk summer at out cabin!!

Thanks guys. A friend sent me the same thing last night, and I'm going to try it.
This smell is making up both sick.

Just be careful of getting it in your dogs eyes, I think you can buy protective drops you can put in before thee peroxide bath!!Our black lab kind of had a few amber coloured highlights after, a fashionable ombre!!!

Lecale: "detonate a skunk"??~!! Probably THE most appropriate description I've ever read or heard regarding skunk encounters!!! Thank you for the best giggle!!!!

Hicks, I hope that peroxide concoction works for Jake and you; poor critter, poor you!!

Well, I had every noble intention of starting my post Thanksgiving diet this morning until our DD emailed me, asking if I could go to lunch with her. Silly question...of course!!! :) We had a lovely lunch, then Hubby joined us for dessert, (I didn't have any..hmph...spoil my diet??! Nevah!) and it was so nice. It's been a while since she and I 'lunched'.

Rainy, drizzly day, though...sign of the times, I guess, and at least no one has to shovel rain....

I've had to wash all the carpets, bed linens, towels, floors.
Jake's had 3 shampoos (tooth paste, tomato juice, and his regular shampoo). He, and the house, still stink.
A neighbour has given me a skunk 'get the door out' bottle to try. That's next. :frown::frown::frown:
He got sprayed right in the face, his eyes were so red and swollen, but thankfully I still had drops and lubricant left over from his pink eye. That seemed to help.
I'm exhausted, but I don't feel like I've accomplished a thing. :confused:

Poor Jake! He's been through a lot and now this! We almost "came upon" a skunk here a couple of weeks ago. Fortunately for us but unfortunately for the poor skunk, he got hit on the road.
