Thanks ladies. Home @ last.
x-rayed; removed cast; realigned leg AGAIN - ouch
new cast; another x-ray; follow up in 4 weeks;
no weight baring for another 6 - 12 weeks; then air cast or boot for 6 weeks; then physio
no surgery
I'm tired & frustrated.
Lynn, enjoy that pop luck.

Gee, hicks, that's crazy - but let's hope for speedier healing! And I agree with the above ^, uh... unless it interferes with your meds.

Thanks Nat. No meds, so I'm following Dededi's advice. lol
Now I've had a taste of what Lynn has been going through, mind you, just a taste.
I'm wiped; I think I'm going to sleep like a log tonight.

Aw, Hicks, I wouldn't have wished anything like this on anyone, and I'm so sorry you're having to go through this. I know it doesn't feel like it, but you're fortunate not to have to have surgery and all the attending problems like a plate, screws..all of which will have to be removed...3 surgeries...honestly, I know it's hard to stay quiet and not be allowed to walk around particularly this time of year, but besides wine (and that's always a good thing..
), do you do any knitting...do you play games on the computer (I have so many games downloaded from BigFishGames)...anything that can pass the time?
So you're in a cast again, right? How are you doing with those crutches? Or are you hobbling around with a walker? Walkers are nice since you can sit on them if you get too pooped to cross the livingroom, lol...or get from one room to another. AND, I found out, it's very convenient for loading up with coffee and food while travelling to the table from the kitchen..It's unfortunate they couldn't find a wheelchair that will fit through your doorways.
Do I recall that you're having meals delivered? Wine?
Just hang in there, Sweetie, one day you'll be good as new! Promise!!

Well, so much for sleeping like a log.
^^^ Thanks @amira84
Oh, I know it Lynn. I'm really happy that I avoided all those surgeries. I REALLY feel for you.
No walker with wheels allowed until I can weight bare. I do use a w/chair around the house, except for the bathroom, where I use a stationary walker, and the bedroom, where I use a small office chair. Oh yes, definitely in a cast, & will be for some time. I do consider myself lucky. I'd be miserable if this happened in the nice weather.
I don't knit, or do anything 'crafty'. All my interests are outdoors, and physical. I've spent a lot of time on the computer, and do play a # of games. Done some reading, but watching a ton of t.v.
Really sad that I'll miss Christmas, but there's always next year.
Well, I think I'll make another attempt @ sleep.

Hoping you got caught up with sleep and rest, hicks.
It's yucky that we got snow last night on top of the ice/melting snow crap we had going on.
Still, temps are decent for this time of year.

Do you think it’s a bit too early to post in festive green?
Are you a smiling participant in the festive Christmas scene?
Do you think that the best thing about mistletoe is standing underneath?
Did ever use folded key punch cards to make a Christmas wreath?
Do you like talking turkey & consuming it as well?
If I come to your house can I ring your silver bell?
Do you think it really is the thought that really counts?
Or do believe the above is not true, if studied by all accounts?
Do you think Rod Stewart will ask Santa for another Barbie Doll?
If Robert Plant has been good, will he get another soccer ball?
Will Gene Simmons have a clown make-up kit at the top of his list?
Will Ian Anderson ask for a Castle with a moat with extra mist?
Will Neil Young get the perfect Harvest that is bountiful & plenty?
Will Steven Tyler ask again if he could please look twenty?
Will David Bowie ask for an Odyssey to take him far off places?
Will The Boss ask for a game called New Jersey’s Best Street Races?
Do you know these questions will be on a test & will you be prepared?
Are we officially launching Christmas & has it been declared?
