I bought a couple vegan cookbooks and so far tried one recipe. I made the pineapple upsidedown cake to take to my cousin a while back.

Oh, my....one of my favourites; I haven't made it in years and years. Everyone seems to be on this or that diet and now that both my DH and I are watching what we eat and eating healthier I don't see one in our immediate futures. We are having our DD and her DH and our Grandson over for her b'day dinner on Friday, so..there will be cake.

Busy few days ahead for us: our DD's group at work are again #1 in all of Canada, so they're all being sent to the Collingwood resort for a few days of R&R, so we have our Grandson here until Wednesday.
He has a b'day party at Michaels this afternoon, JuJitsu on Tuesday, and school of course...crazy busy!!

Well, I was looking for a dessert recipe for Easter dinner since I'm bringing dessert and honestly, I can't resist these!! I mean...aren't they just THE cutest things?!! I'll pipe green "grass", then put a bunny butt into the grass, but .... how cute?! I think it'll be chocolate cupcakes filled with caramel...because I love caramel, ...or...I could do a nice cake (I did carrot cake at Christmas) and just put a few bunny butts on top, still in some grass...and pipe those big roses all over the rest of the cake....yes, I think that's the plan...with caramel filling..

GAH!! I've seen bit of that show....just gluttons at a trough~~~~~~!!
It makes me sad that people can shove so much crap into their mouths while others in the world are starving....it's just gluttony, plain and simple.

GAH!!! Hon, I started watching them but they're SO inept in the kitchen...I think it was their spin-off where they took famous recipes and tried to fumble their way through them and cook or bake something!
WHO are those two dim-wits sleeping with, to get their own shows??!!!

Sorry...I hope you continue to enjoy them...just don't watch their newer shows....!!!

Otoh...there are two sisters who are quite famous for their cookbooks...omg, at this moment I can't remember their names, but I do have one of their cookbooks..what happened to their shows! They COULD cook!!

Ah this makes me laugh because - yes, these two sisters CAN cook and have SEVERAL cookbook s that are great - most of which I own- Crazy Plates, etc.

BUT through funny part is that they were able to make their "splash " onto the recognizability stage partially because of the "relationship " one had with the author of "The Wealthy Barber ". All of these folks are from the Kitchener area. He was also one of the "Dragons" on the "Dragons' Den."

His dad was a principal in our school board and lived next door to my friend.

The Wealthy Barber is a really great guy who lives very frugally.

So they, too, kind of got famous in a well known way.

Hello, everyone....I received sad news this morning: my cousin, Don, in ThunderBay, passed away last night from complications of his diabetes and COPD...he was everyone's "big brother" when we visited, so kind to everyone...the last time I spoke with him was when he was last in the hospital sometime this past winter...just so sad.

DH just drove our Grandson to school....wow, early mornings around here for the next couple of days.....our DD called me last night from the resort, describing it, telling me all their plans for the next couple of days...quite a nice reward for her 'team'!

I hope everyone has a sunny day, up to -2 today but DH promised me that melting will happen!
