For a few reasons; 1st you're closer to the Jay's dugout; 2nd, during day games, the sun is right in your eyes if you're sitting on the 1st base side; 3rd, you can see the plays on the bases, & @ home, better, without any obstructions of players, umps, and coaches, 4th, for whatever reason, you can see fly balls more clearly, and finally, you have a better chance of getting a foul ball hit to the 3rd base side since more players bat right handed.

Lynn, you would be amazed at all the stuff I know - as I would by each of y'all!
Pretty sure that our combined knowledge of stuff could rule the world - and it would be fun, and interesting!

I must say the walk up from the basement just now was so worth it JUST to read these last few posts and to confirm to any who may have any doubts about us that we could make your hair curl from the combined stuff we know!

...unless of course...sob...
..when my Hubby drives off with Jenny to stay with my late Best Friend's Hubby while we're away. Times like this..............I don't think I can rule the world, I just need a hug.....
I tried to be bubbly and brave, but that little face in the car, all happy to be going somewhere, well, it just broke my heart; she's such a little smudge, and I miss her already...
This is the not so fun part about leaving......

aw, Lynn -
But how wonderful that you have a great place for her to stay, rather than just in a strange kennel.
Just getting prep for supper going - making chop suey, and wow, lots of chopping involved with all the veggies! Nice to do it just a few feet away from the cold a/c, though!
Milan is coming over - Yummy son hugs on the way!
Interesting, last week we had him over here only once - because he had spent tons of time here, I thought he maybe just needed that space. If something is going on or we want to chat, we do do that during the week.
However, when he came over this past Sunday, and was leaving - he said, see you during the week? I said of course, anytime, you know that - you can just come. He said Good, because a week is way too long to go without seeing you, and having hugs, and talking. Aw... that's my little bear, sigh!

@Lynn49, I get it. I've started a couple of time just thinking of leaving Jake for two weeks.
And @Natalka , that's so touching.
You both need a hug.

I KILLED A BEE! (By pulling it's nasty little body away from it's nasty little stinger that was INJECTING ME WITH it's nasty little venom!) I feel badly - literally as well as figuratively in a "zen" kind of way.
I was making a quick run into Giant Tiger - I grabbed a cart out of the parking lot and zapola! The darn think was hiding under the handle and stung me right in the "heel" of my right hand between my thumb and "Peter Pointer."
Yikes! Never been stung by a bee before.
Soaked my hand in peroxide and water - washed it off, took a benadryl and an aspirin, applied ice - I'll probably die of the cure!
Damn thing HURTS!
Whine, whine, whine, that's all I do!
I didn't know enough "stuff" about bee stings!

avon, awful about the bee sting, hope the pain goes away soon and you don't get any reaction.
Husband killed a wasp in the kitchen just before supper, so we'll have to check outside for a nest. Glad he was home, it was hovering around the light - I didn't have my glasses on and thought it was just a moth, gah.
