oy!! It is warm!! Snipped some fresh swiss chard leaves and baby lettuce leaves from DH's planters for dinner tonight and that sun was relentless. Staying in for the Jays game now.

Michael Saunders aka "Captain Canada" wins fan vote, will play in MLB All-Star Game

We did it, Canada.
Jays outfielder Michael Saunders will be heading to the MLB All-Star Game, after 72 hours of fan voting for a spot on the American League team. Saunders set a new MLB record with 17.7 million votes with many of those, not surprisingly, coming from Canada.
Brandon Belt of the San Francisco Giants has been voted in for the National League.
Saunders will join Jays teammates Marco Estrada, Edwin Encarnacion, and Josh Donaldson in the July 12th game.
“Thank you to everybody who came together, showed me support, needless to say I felt the love all across Canada,” Saunders said in a video for the Blue Jays’ official Twitter account. “I’m very humbled by it. Thank you very much.”

Yay to the Jays!
Boo to the SK Roughriders and their loss in Edmonton.
Well, it's just past midnight and I'm having my morning coffee!
There's more of a story than my 'usual' insomnia - I've had a horrid few days with my Meniere's - and as a result after having bout after bout, no other choice but than to sleep - it goes with the disorder. And what's odder about it, is that it doesn't feel like 'real' restorative sleep, just not being able to stay awake. So, gah! So I ended up having like four sleeps/naps today, during the day - crazy!
Hoping tomorrow is a better day!Last edited by Natalka; Sat, Jul 9th, 2016 at 02:53 AM.

Good morning every1.
Nat, I hope this passes soon, and you can get back to normal.
Yeah Jays, that's 7 straight.
Wow, we had quite the thunder storm last night !!! We lost power for a couple of hours, and again a couple of quick outages this morning.
I hope you all have a great day.

My DS on The Edge walk of the CN Tower. Personally, I think he's nuts.

^ I agree, that's crazy, but wowsers - so brave of him!
Well, I 'think' I'm better - just woke up from a second sleep... I won't be able to have much on my agenda today. Thank goodness my sweet husband stepped up to the plate and is washing dishes; what a hon!

Don't forget that it's always important to read the instructions first,
Cause once the assembling is locked into place, it cannot be reversed,
If you shop at Ikea, you'll know all about following instructions to the letter,
On a personal note I'll tell you that you will just feel a whole lot better,
Detailed instructions have been known to leave you scratching your head,
& if it gets to be too darn much, then just retire to a nice comfy bed,
Good luck with your endeavours & in whatever activity you may choose,
It also helps if the background music is a damn fine mix of blues!

Helloooooo! Back from camp,. unpacked and catching up on the news here...
How FANtastic that Saunders will be joining his team-mates in the All-Star game....we done good, Canada! And mostly us..
We had big rain and thunderboomers too, Friday evening into Saturday, so I read: The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood that my DD lent me, played cards, board games and when it drizzled, we still all sat outside under our trailer canopies and sipped 'stuff'. We won't be going back next weekend since we have our Grandson because DD, her DH and another couple (the ones who just bought a trailer in our campground) are heading to TO for the Guns and Roses concert.
Now I need to run a few errands, pack tomorrow for our trip to TO on Tuesday morning for my DH's appt at Women's College, so still busy days ahead!!
Nice to come back to find everyone safe and sound, enjoying this wonderful summer!!
Toodles for now! On the run again...
