Yeah hicks. I liked culinary school and went to marriot Eaton centre for an internship. School says if they have you doing grunt work like peeling potatoes, etc tell us because you're not there to be free labour. So I'm going along nicely, they have me even making burgers and sandwiches on my own for the restaurant and room service. Even told me one day I would pick out and cook what was the veggies of the day that night for dinner. One day I was even the grill cook for a busy lunch service. Then I bump into another classmate who was also there. He was pissed they were only having him peel potatoes etc and the school was transferring him somewhere else. They never once had me do that grunt work. So I asked the chef about that guy and asked why's he leaving. Chef bluntly told me: oh him, he's useless and we were trying to make him quit lol. You on the other hand came here willing to learn from us that's why we put you in quickly to more important roles.

I'm back ...my eye is itchy and I can't scratch it...It feels gritty and dry.ugg!

on the other hand , the surgery was straight forward, the surgeon talked me through the procedure so I felt safe. I did not get a scary pirate eyepatch, it was a boring clear plastic one.

Came home and sprayed it on back, leg, side.

It gets VERY warm and smells a lot like my grandfather but after standing up to eat my supper I went to bed and fell asleep for 2 hours! I haven't slept that comfortably for at least 3 nights.

Darth- glad your surgery went well. Maybe a nice penguin sticker over your patch would make you feel better! Arrrr!
It's the "getting better" part that's annoying with an itch you cannot scratch!

DP - been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Hang in there; it'll feel a ton better in a day or two.
@avoncallingu - glad you found it, but I think I'd be a little embarrassed too, at least the 1st time. But now that you know it helped you, the next should be a no-brainer. Happy to hear it was successful. I think the next time I pass a HH, I'll get some too.

I got my new garage door & opener installed today.
Looks good. That's the one that I won on 680News. Nice, esp. since I didn't have to pay for it.
