Well folks, today's the day we say good bye to 2016. I, for one, will be happy to see it go.
It looks like most of you are staying in for the evening, me too.
And just to finish off the year the way it started, horridly, I'm sick as a dog.
I have bronchial pneumonia. My chest hurts so much, I can barely breath; my fever is down to 102; my ears ache, my glands are swollen, ……. I feel like he!!. Good riddance 2016.

Oh my good gracious, @22hicks !!! How terribly awful for you! Now who's looking after who over there?! Are you on antibiotics? Did you get to a clinic?? We're ALL going to say good riddance to that horrible monkey (sorry) year!!
@Newfiescreech , what a sweet post. I'm going to turn it right around and wish you and your family all the very best in the New Year. You've become a dear and valuable member of our little chat-room. Your concern for all of us has been heart-warming. BIG HUGS to you, my Friend, always!! God bless.
The year of the ROOSTER! I don't put a lot of faith in horoscopes, but if it means that the monkey that's been on our backs all year will be chased away by a rooster, then have at it, my feathered friend!!!
AFTER THE YEAR OF THE MONKEY COMES THE YEAR OF THE ROOSTER, WHICH BEGINS JANUARY 28, 2017. THE ROOSTER BEING THE SIGN OF DAWN AND AWAKENING, TRIUMPH AND SUCCESS CAN ONLY BE ACHIEVED AT THE PRICE OF HARD WORK AND PATIENCE IN 2017.

oh how awful for you @22hicks .....well one good thing is the antibiotics usually kick in straight away, so that should help somewhat. Everyone seems to be in agreement regarding 2016 then?? Yes....BE GONE Already!
A little driving to do here and there and then we are barricading ourselves inside to eat, drink and be merry!!
All the very best to all of my sc friends!!

Hello folks!
Let's shoo 2016 out the door!
I am very thankful that you all have been there with love, advise, information, caring and sometimes prayer, virtual hugs, willing ears and shoulders to lean on.
Let's all put in a major wish for peace, health and good fortune not only for ourselves but for all in need.
You are a WONDERFUL family that I am lucky enough to have in my life!
Happy New Year!

So your house guest is gone, then? Well at least you can schlep around in your jammies and bunny slippers, poor kid. I hope your antibiotics kick in very soon, my friend.

Dominos delivery guy delivers my pizza and forgets one of the 2 pop lol yup of course considering I paid online that would happen. He said i'll go back and get the other 2 litre pop and I said it's ok just add it to my next order and he said ok they can do that. I didn't want him to worry about coming all the way back on new years eve for 1 pop.

Lol hicks. I usually don't drink at all. Maybe a couple coolers if I go to my cousins. However when I first arrived in Timmins my cousin bought a ticket for me to go with all the rest of them to this big new years eve party. Every time someone went up to the bar they always bought me a cooler too along with whatever they were getting. At some point I was like man this music is giving me a headache and they were all like it's not the music lol.

Pretty quiet here with the 2 boys. We had dinner, then snacks, then other snacks, played Jenga and Candyland, and now they're in the rec-room, each glued to their own iPad, for some quiet time. I needed it.
They have the TV on with Dick Clark's countdown (because Anderson Cooper's co-host is a potty mouthed pig), and will wander back up when they're starving again, or it gets closers to midnight. I's been years since I've been up until midnight on NYE!

I never make it til midnight, which is odd considering the hours I keep - I usually just sleep over the midnight hour.
Had a nice supper, watched a bit of the fireworks through the window - across the river. Ate some baking. Each watching a movie of our own choosing, though, lol! (so much for togetherness!)
Found out our niece had her baby a few days ago - a girl, sister to their son. No other info such as the name yet, though.
Hope you all had a wonderful evening!
