my lord, i was christmas shopping today..costco..walmart...toysrus..the mall
still have some things left to get tomorrow after we take the kids for their pictures. might pop into the disney store and let them pick out their jammies for christmas and we're going to take dd1 (and dd2) to claire's and pick out a pressie for her little friend across the street. she's never been into a Claire's, i can't wait to see the look on her face hehe! she loves her some necklaces and hair bobbles!

heh all. sitting here enjoying the quiet. hubby took the kids shopping today. been gone all day..braving the crowds.
Lynn. those look awesome.. i made some placemats last year for MIL they surely did not look like that. but i can so appreciate the effort.
gracesmommy. i can sure appreciate shopping this time of year.. i have 2 more things to get. still waiting on something to happen first. then im done..
the only left thing to do is bake. im still in shock xmas is just over a week away.. was telling hubby today that i actually 'made it' through my first xmas without a TON of decorations all over the place and no HUGE tree.. its not all fancy in here.. but i also didn't spend countless hours making things perfect for nobody to see it. less stress. almost thinking about delaying xmas just a bit to take advantage of boxing day sales. maybe maybe not.. will see.Be Strong

Sadly this last night of chanukah almost turned deadly.
One of the candles fell from my menorah and started a small fire. Its not too major but there is some serious smoke damage.http://www.amazon.com/gp/cdp/member-...stRecentReview

Thank you, and MrsSunshine! The green really is sage, I promise, lol, not that minty colour! The camera flash sure can distort colours!
Aw...little girls...I loved it when our DD and I went shopping together..when they're young they love everything, and the inexpensive stuff dazzles them...then they get to somewhere in their early teens and they'll go shopping with you if you, like..walk not exactly WITH them, and not talk so much to strangers, geez, Mom...then they become human beings again and omg....now that she's in her early 30s...it's such a pleasure to be with her any time, every time!! Enjoy your girls!!Last edited by Lynn49; Sat, Dec 15th, 2012 at 08:10 PM.

Went to see an apartment this morning. Whole building still being renovated but looking good. Will be available for feb 1st and I was looking at the bach for $650/month. Installing elevator and laundry facilities will be on my floor. Huge windows, bathroom with shower and drapes inc. Will also inc murphey bed but is a nice size for me and will be all brand new with new appliances and each unit will have it's own hot water tank. it's still a construction zone but they said they are right on sced for feb 1st(expect elevator will be ready a bit later)

That's awesome Cab. Congrats
I still remember our first apartment in Ottawa, it was a shoebox! But we had a lot of fond memories of that tiny apartment.
It's sweet that everything is brand new and you have laundry on your floor - that'll prove super handy!

Disney store? WHERE???? lol. I thought they closed all of them in Ontario. Is it in the GTA?
That's so cute! She'll love anything you get her. So nice of you!
DD is like that also (all about necklaces, hair clips etc). She got 2 sets for her Birthday and 1 is already broken. It was pretty hilarious though. DD and DS got into a fighting match over the necklace. Of course they both started pulling so you can guess what happened. SNAP. Sprang back his DD in the stomach (crying ensued) and DS in the face (even more crying ensued). Beads were everywhere. Both were fine about a second, it just shocked them. I wont lie, it was kind of funny!
