Morning all. Hope you all had an enjoyable NYE.
We had originally planned on travelling out of town for a hockey game, but after getting a dousy (is that even spelled right?!) of a storm on Sunday, we just planned to stay in town. Didn't really make any plans for what we'd do. At first I actually thought I would just sleep, haha. For any of you that follow the World Juniors, it has my sleep schedule a complete mess. Sunday, Canada played very early in the morning.. so I went to bed at midnight Saturday & slept until 5am for the game. I was up until around noon, then passed out until 6pm. (This is Sunday night night) I then didn't go to bed Sunday night.. wasn't tired. Watched the Canada game yesturday at 10am.. went grocery shopping.. came home.. by then it was 3pm, so I had laid down & thought maybe I'll just go to bed, sleep until whenever. Woke up not even an hour later, decided I didn't wanna. Made a last minute run to the liquor store. Ended up staying in, getting a little tipsy with the BF, ordering Chinese & getting a midnight kiss.
Whew. So there's my life story, lol..
Was essentially awake from 6pm Sunday.. until went to bed at 3am this morning. It's 8:45 am.. how am I even awake?

Hope everyone is feeling good this morning after an evening of celebrations
We watched some tv, then enjoyed the amazing amounts of fireworks set off not only in our park, but at all the homes around us. We must have watched over an hour of fireworks, it was beautiful. One thing about Texas, everyone here is crazy for their fireworks.
I'm off to the gym this morning, trying to resolve myself to going at least every second day. This year, I want to feel better than I ever have in past years, and I'm willing to work hard to get there. No new years resolution, just a promise with myselfWe all need a little sunshine every now and then

We had a fairly quiet night. Played some Wii, chatted and then watched the ball drop. I was so exhausted by about 10pm that I didn't think I'd make it but I did!
A bonus was that both the kids slept last night so I feel refreshed!
Hope everyone had a great NYE. Can't wait for an update for Dan...

Arrived home from a night at the BL's and my house is still standing from my daughters new years bash...life is good. Both my DD and DS are sporting wicked hangovers though. I think hubby and I should play dance revolution in stereo and fry up some eggs
.
I hope you all had a wonderful evening bringing in 2013. Best wishes to you all for a great New Year

My mom always told me its bad luck to do laundry on New Years Day so I made sure all mine was done yesterday. All cleaning is done too so it's just a relaxing family day. We played with some of their new toys and just finished watching The Little Mermaid. Turkey is smelling soooooo yummy! Can't wait for dinner!

Ooo, turkey... I'm jealous!
Popping in with a HI - I feel so lonely at home! Husband is napping; son was out at a party last night, stayed over at their house but didn't get much sleep, so he's sleeping; cats are sleeping!
Watching/listening to Downton Abbey to see if it's something I want to get caught up on. Watched the Christmas special on TV the other night and was intrigued.
Yesterday I watched all the past episodes of Call The Midwife (PBS - London in the '50s) - what an amazing show! Can't wait for the second season!

I've been hearing a lot about Downton Abby lately... I'm not really into British shows but this one looks kind of interesting! I need something new to watch. I haven't been really into a show since Lost...
