aww well thanks.. i think it was meant to be.. it really opened our eyes to what we needed to do for our future.. as well my hubby is so awesome at budgeting and making things 'work' around here.
eventually all good things will come to those who wait.. and work hard

I can't believe my luck with laptops lately!!!!! I was using my laptop yesterday when all of a sudden the screen went black. It turned on, but wouldn't boot, gahhh. I had to uninstall and then re-install the windows 8 program. I had a really good virus scanner that I purchase when I got the new computer and had the guy's at the store install it for me. No, it wasn't a virus, something wrong with the windows 8 program. I did get it to come back on, but half the programs were still missing and it wouldn't let me download them, kept giving me error messages. I dug out the bill and it said 14 days for an exchange on laptops. I was going to go and get a different laptop, thinking I'd had it with Sony...and windows 8 I check the date I bought the laptop, and you guessed it, I had had it 16 days I called them and they said to bring it in so the tech's could try and fix it for me, otherwise they would have to ship it off to Sony When I get there, 3 different techs looked at it, and the manager, I waiting about 20 minutes or so and they are on the phone. They come back and say they have to ship it to Sony. I pointed out the fact that I was only 2 days past the exchange date, and if possible could they stretch that policy just a bit for a nice old Canadian lady The tech and the manager went off and chatted for about 10 minutes in a room. I was really getting tired of standing around, but when they came back, they had a new Sony in the box. They gave me a new one I questioned them on windows 8, they said it was a great program, and that all new computers are coming with it installed, they no longer have the choice of which operating system they want in it. The manager did tell me though that he never purchases anything with a new operating system until it's been out for a year or so because there are so many glitches. He also told me to check every morning for any new updates and make sure I install them immediately. Sooo, I lost all my pictures of tiny Maggie and Marley, but thank heavens I hadn't yet installed all the picks from my stick and erased the stick. So, if anyone is using the new Windows 8 program, be careful, it does have several kinks that are being worked out.

We never use the 'latest and greatest' program. Son always makes sure we have the previous one installed.

I went to a bridal show today with two girlfriends who happen to both work as bridal consultants on Saturdays for bit extra cash. Anyway, there was a booth of sample dresses and... I bought my wedding dress! First purchase for the big day except for invitations from Michaels. It was $1300 down to $400 because I bought it off the rack I am pretty excited right now. And I got a great deal like any good SC

ok ok... well basically after seeing an ad for a house we were very much in love with and only having two days to decide what to do.. as moving in would literally be in days after seeing it.. we decided to sit down yesterday morning only hours before we were supposed to see it....to go over our numbers.. ie budget'.. to make sure once we were there. it would work for us.. we tried for an hour. and still it wasn't working.. so we decided not to go and see it.. no since in teasing ourselves.. instead we worked out a 6 month plan to clean up and improve where we live.. so that by summer our place is all spruced up and nothing else changes. some day.. maybe.. some day. for now it works for us. and someone else pointed out better to find out now.. then later when its too late.
