I give our players credit for keeping their cool and not engaging the ump with chatter or questioning his horrible calls.

Aaron went in @ the end of the inning, and spoke to the ump.
I think it helped. The calls have been much better.
Enjoy the rain, those of you getting it, but I know that the humidity can be gross if it stays hot.
We have sun going in and out, it's really irritating - especially for Vader who loves sunbathing, but she's given up because as soon as she gets comfy in a sunbeam, it goes away!
We may get rain later tonight.
Family baby news - we have a new great-niece, daughter of my husband's nephew and his wife; he's a priest in Croatia.
Her name is Carolina (pronounced CaroLEEna) - a real cutie with lots of dark hair.
Congrats to you and your family @Natalka .
It's STILL raining here. :( Thunder and lightening are sending Jake into hiding. He has to go out, but won't.
Hopefully, it'll blow itself out tonight, and we'll have a nice day tomorrow. I should check the weather channel.
BTW - way to go Jays. :top:
Hello folks! We are applying for new passports. Complicated by the fact that we have no current photo ID with our new address. And our birth certificates are packed in.....which box was that?
I am Extremely happy that we are able to apply for passports after DH's medical journey. We will be using them for quick trips across the border, but DH always enjoys doing some grocery shopping there.
Thanks to all who have wished us well along the way!
Take care everyone!
Good evening!!
Another day spent basically on the sofa/recliner...boy was that a brilliant decision! :-~ The pain is still there, although when I attempt to walk now, I don't shriek in pain with every step. I consider that progress. :)
Next week, chiropractor Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, after-which we'll leave for camp for a busy weekend.
Everyone: have a wonderful weekend. Sorry it's a wet one for many, us included, but only drizzles; our lawns and gardens here sure needed it, though!

avon, it's good your husband is doing so well that travelling is okay for him.
You've just moved, so you have an excuse to have things in boxes - we moved 2 1/2 years ago, and we still have things in boxes. Obviously not necessary things, but there are things I miss - like ALL of my jewellery, for example - or if we needed personal docs, they are down in the basement somewhere...
Lynn, it's so good you are somewhat better - baby steps!
Found out today that things are not going well with my BIL, the one with esophageal cancer, he's 65. He had been doing quite well through rounds of chemo - but not now. He's back to having trouble swallowing, so not eating - he will have to have a stent put in, and then hopefully will go on a new biologic therapy (don't know anything about that). So, :(
Good morning everyone, have a marvelous day!Attachment 317443
Enjoy your Sunday!

Gah, haven't been able to sleep - too much pain.
Hoping I'll be able to in a few hours...

Good morning everyone, hope you have a nice Monday!
Hoping you get some relief from the pain and can get some sleep Natalka!Attachment 317593
Morning Fam!
Have a great start to the week.
Good morning every1.
Home at last. Yesterday, after church, went to the Jays game (they won 9 - 2 :) ), then out for dinner, and stayed at a friend's overnight, so, I'm tired today.
@Natalka and @Lynn49 , I hope the pain you're both suffering, eases up. Nat, sorry to hear about your BIL.
I hope you all have a great day. It's suppose to be miserable tomorrow with torrential rains.

Good morning!
Seems the weather can't make up its mind: sun or cloud. We've had a couple of dreary, drizzly days, so I vote sun!! Ohhhh...lol..which just came out! Yes, I'm magical.
@22hicks, I'm still in pain, although my pinched nerve pain seems to have been reduced to half. My lower back, however, is meh. We purchased a block of 11 appointments with this chiropractor (who my DH taught in highschool), and we may do it again; I just want to be able to walk more than 10 feet without having to stop because of pain!!! I'm also drinking this vile grape (not even close!) alkaline stuff because I'm acidic. A test strip I used has me at about 6.2 and heavens, what I read on line that can do to a body??! I'm drinkin' that crap!:-~
@Natalka , sorry to hear of your brother-in-law's condition; I hope the new therapy is a success. Take care, rest, and I hope you feel better very soon, Hon.
I hope you all have a lovely week...stay safe!
In keeping with @dededi's mouse theme....

Yay...just heard our grandson is now playing "Sequence" instead of hours of ...ugh..."Clue"!! I love that game...now DH just has to build a board I can actually read the cards on!!
Ohh! I hear a motorcycle approaching!!
Hope you're all having a great day!!!!!
Aw, happy mice made me smile!
Well, thankfully I was able to get a few hours' sleep. Unfortunately, I had to wake up my husband at around 4:30 to help me with bandaging.
So, amidst other general things I usually have to deal with (that come and go), I have an infection on my right shin/lower leg. Hmmm... same leg last August, which is kinda odd. I'm using a serious antibiotic cream and/or ointment, and wrapping it with gauze like the doc said to do last year. But there are these crazy shooting pains which come and go - same as last year. It's not been great to deal with.
After I got up, I had just made coffee and the power went out for about 45 minutes - so I listened to the portable radio (yes, still have a few of those, thank goodness!) - with a personal fan aimed at my face (wow, that was a great purchase!) because it's hot here already.
I was thinking, well what could I do - considered baking - duh, no power. Well, I'd just surf the net on my tablet - duh, no power means no wi-fi. Luckily games still work on the tablet, so I played Kaiser for a while.
Wow, did Vader the cat ever jump when the power came back on, because the a/c made quite the noise starting up - she just tore a strip into the living room. Poor kitty!
Thanks, everyone, for the good wishes for my BIL.
And the day goes on...

Aw, @Natalka , so sorry to hear about your leg infection; if it doesn't start clearing up shortly, I hope you get to a doctor. Yes, how odd indeed, that it's in the same area as last autumn..keep well, my Friend.
As for mice...maybe this happy mouse will make you smile, too...I love at the end when 'training' time is over, she continues to spin on her little roof...what a sweet little critter...

Good morning!
Well, of course yesterday messed up my today - I ended up napping off and on in the evening, just couldn't help it.
So my day started at midnight.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning, quick note: leaving for camp after my chiro appt on Thursday, so I'm getting my grocery list/recipes together so that Hubby can shop for them before we leave.
Still 'ouchy', but continuing with chiro every day this week until Friday when we'll be at camp; I sure hope I'm walking better than I am now. After my appt yesterday we both went to CT to pick up a new rainfall shower head so I walked through the store, through the cash, and by the time I got to the doors, I couldn't take one more step without stopping. Which I did about 4 times until we reached our van parked in the handicapped space near the door!! THIS is getting way out of hand and I'll be asking my chiropractor why the pain in my hips is so out of control. Not a happy camper,.
No rain here, but evidently it did rain overnight, dull, dreary...not impressed with August, either.:-~
You all take care and have a lovely day!
Have a good day everyone!Attachment 317734
Morning everyone :hello:

Good morning everyone!!

@Lynn49 - nice that you're improving, but be careful up at the camp.
Hello every1. I hope you're having a marvellous day.

Thank you, @22hicks ...yep, it's going to have to be a quiet weekend for me, but I'm telling ya...I'm no great supporter of chiropractors and all the promises they make to cure everything, but both my DD and I wouldn't do without them when our back's "go out" on us! I've had 5 (6?) treatments after 3 weeks of pain and I'm feeling almost back to normal finally! I still get twinges, but at least I can put weight on that left leg and step on it without yelling. Even my chiropractor, after he did his treatment, said I must be getting better, I've stopped swearing at him... I think that's a step forward..
And YES, the JAYS are amazing!! DH said he gave up on them last night, and they won, and again today!!!
DARE we hope??!!
So great about the Jays!
Lynn, fab news that you are doing so well! So what's the chiro doing that is so magical? Like, as opposed to physio? I wanna know! :)
