Ahh so sore from my work boots. Stocked about 500 rolls of wallpaper at work last 2 days and priced it all. We have radio ads starting Monday at noon about our new wallpaper. When manager goes in Monday morning he'll see it all rweady to go. Work Mon and Tues and then another week off.
Hello every1. :hello:
I hope you're all enjoying the day.
It sure sounds like a fantastic w/end @Natalka .

Wedding was lovely. We had quite an adventure getting to it, though. Funny that part of the issue was due to a "Cruisin'" event in Windsor and Detroit. (The Motor City.)
Spending time with Dh's son before he heads off down to his home in Florida tomorrow.
He's got lots of vim -dh and I - not so much.
Talk to "y'all" later.
avon, that's great! Back to reality for you, now? Hope your husband is doing well.
hicks, it's definitely a weekend for car lovers here, that's for sure. Apparently my younger brother came in for it, but I don't think he'll stop by here to see us - I just heard second-hand that he's in the city. I am hoping, though, there is a chance he and our son run into one another.
Well, I'm just in a crapload of pain with this leg today, even though I'm keeping a steady stream of Tylenol going - it's just not cutting it. So I've been doing way too much crying - and I'm really, really sick of it.
But you know how there's always a ray of sun? My husband was kind enough to go do a small shopping trip at Co-op just to pick up some fresh chickens, pork, and bread - and he got me a huge bag of cheezies and some poppyseed danishes - aw, so very sweet of him! He said he wanted to try anything to make me feel better. :)
Going to watch a bit of the closing ceremonies of the Olympics - so crazy that it's over, already!
Have a nice evening, everyone!
It certainly was a 'car' w/end. There was an 'autofest' here too, well in Oshawa. That's close to me. Crazy.
@Natalka - I'm so sorry you're in so much pain. I wish those antibiotics would kick in. Feel better.

Thanks, hicks!
Our son popped in on his way to go cruising - and I got a big bear hug from him. Turns out he was sick (flu-ey maybe) the last day and a half, and had a migraine this morning. So he went to the racetrack Friday, but missed the Sat. events and the show and shine today. But he was feeling better and wanted to get out tonight. He'll come over tomorrow so we can have a longer visit.
Natalka, I am so sorry to hear about the pain you're going through! If it hasn't subsided by tomorrow, I would strongly suggest you get back to a Dr. As this might be something that isn't responding to the particular type of antibiotics that you are on and you don't want to risk it morphing into a much more serious problem.
Had a very nice day with Dh's son. He's always so interested in how a community "works" and local traditions and stories.
Dh, unfortunately, kind of "hit a wall " energy -wise today and had to take a sleep this afternoon. We went out for supper at a very nice local pub, then watched the Olympic Closing Ceremonies.
I am about to try to get some needed sleep.
Good-night all!
Hope you have a marvelous day everyone!Attachment 318012
Happy Monday, everyone!!
Another great camping weekend; the rains held off for all the day's activities at our campground, through the pig-roast dinner and the live band. I took our Grandson back to our trailer since he was sleeping over, and DH and her Daddy kept the outdoor party going. Oiy...DH never does that, and wishes he wouldn't do that again! LOL!! They had a great time, no idea when DD dropped her Daddy off back at our trailer, but she brought him home, kissed me goodnight and went to their trailer all alone for once in a long time. Her DH had driven back home to spend Saturday evening at a friend's home for the Tragically Hip's last concert. We all came home yesterday.
More chiro appointments for me every day this week, and yesterday I didn't take a single Flexerall until bed-time when it's difficult to get comfy enough to fall asleep. None today so far, either, so I'm on the long road to recovery.
@Natalka , Ita agree with Avon. If you feel that antibiotic isn't working its magic, please report back to your doctor. These days it can be anything and we all need to be proactive when it comes to our health. So sorry you're in such pain and distress, Nat.
I just heard on the news that our PM and gang are meeting here in town. That's all I've got for ya.
Have a great week, everyone!

Lynn, glad your weekend was wonderful!
To you and avon - don't worry, I'm being careful and keeping a close eye on things. I'm not going to let it slide.
I've had scares before, and know very well that a thing can turn into a THANG! (I had recurrent cellulitis for years after my son was born, and had to often go on IV antibiotics - but that was on my abdomen.)
The doc did a swab, most probably to see if it's staph - hoping it isn't, of course.
:)
Good afternoon every1.
@Lynn49 - I'm happy to hear you had a good w/end, and didn't overdue it. Not needing to take many pain meds is a great sign. :top:
@Natalka - I'm glad you're keeping you eye on things. Don't leave it too long. The meds should have been working by now. If not, well, you know.
Have a great day my friends.

Hello ;) one of the reasons I don't seem to post so much is my tablet sucks and keeps freezing. I hope I have a real laptop soon lol.
Good morning everyone.Attachment 318054
Morning fam.
Back in the office today, took a sick day yesterday.
Woke up Sunday morning...felt like a tonne of brick was sitting on my chest, and someone had put a pair of vice grips on my nose...felt okay by mid day, Sunday night was not fun...so I decided to just sleep yesterday.
All hopped up on Cold and Sinus pills right now' should make today go by in a haze...hopefully!
Have a great day peeps.
Dan, hoping you are better today!
Good morning!

Happy Tuesday, everyone!!
@danger_dan , you scared me for a few seconds when you described the heaviness on your chest! It's a sinus cold? Poor critter, but please don't scare an old lady like that!! Naughty pup!!
@22hicks , nope I didn't overdo it at all, keeping still more often than not because I want this pain to go far away and never re-occur. I took only 1 Flexerall yesterday, and I'm hoping for the same today. I hope you're doing well, Sweets!
@Natalka , how is your leg this morning? Those antibiotics should have been giving you some relief by now...?
Another nothing day here which is just fine for me right now. DD is organizing a 1st b'day party for their niece from S.Ont. on Saturday for family...about a dozen people...she bought out the dollarstore of their pink party stuff and balloons (will all be helium filled)...she's loving finally doing it all up pink for a change! :) She and her MIL are making a Barbie cake with fondant. Judging by their son's cakes, it'll be gorgeous! I want to make nice big soft pink marshmallows, and of course, my macaroni salad is once again requested..:) SO much pink for a change!!
Have a lovely day, everyone!!!

Sorry @Lynn49 , didn't mean to scare anyone.
Yes, I think it's a mix between a sinus cold and chest cold. I'm feeling a lot better today, which I am incredibly thankful for.
I'm glad it didn't manifest itself into a full blown sinus infection. Last time I had one of those, ended up having to take steroids to clear it up...not fun. That stuff made my face and nasal cavity feel like it was on fire! Never again...
Starting to feel cruddy again...
Think I might finish up my work for this morning...take a later lunch and head home early today.
Until tomorrow fam.
D
Lynn, there is definitely great improvement with my leg, so that's very good!
You make marshmallows? Wowsers! :)
Today will be a much cooler day than yesterday - and we just got a weather advisory for the possibility of funnel clouds later in the day, once the thunderstorms start - well, hopefully NOT!
Good morning folks.
Had a really busy day yesterday, ending with a BBQ with 4 friends over. Great visit, but they didn't leave till almost 2 a.m. I'm too old to be up that late. lol
Nat & Lynn, I'm glad you're both feeling better, but OMG Dan, that sounds miserable. I hope you feel better soon.
I hope you all have a great day. (Dan, & your's gets better)

Hello Folks!
I've been trying to get the Master bath/closet area organized. But one thing leads to another and then you get waylayed.
Now I have to take things OFF of the shelving so I can wash them and line them with shelf-liner. I started and then things just got piled on the shelving to get it out of the way. Two steps forward and.....
We have put an application in for a little doggie being fostered in Hanover..... we lost out on a bonded pair of shih tzus and also on a bonded pair of Maltese here in London. He who hesitates is lost!
We won't know for a while. A group called Loyal Rescue has fosters all around southern Ontario. So we are waiting to hear from their volunteers who will check us out.
In the meantime, we have heard of a 90-year-old lady near Windsor who is giving up housekeeping to go into a a nursing home and wants to find a home for her doggie - a Bichon Frise. But that's all we know.
Feeling a little out of sorts today. A nice cup of lemon tea is making me feel better. DH has got his sound system and TV connections 99% done. He loves to listen to music as a kind of meditation.
My poor brother's refridgerator "gave up the ghost" when they were away on a 2 week vacation. Oiy! What a mess to come home to. I have spoken to my other brother about it but haven't talked to the adventurers yet. They had a lovely vaction.
Anyone going to the CNE????
@Natalka..not just marshmallows....PINK marshmallows! :P So happy to hear that your leg is doing better and responding to the antibiotic!
@avoncallingu, take it easy, Girlie...two steps forward, one step back: welcome to my world!! You'll have it all sorted out soon enough, Sweetie. Good for your Hubby getting his audio all set up; "music doth soothe the savage beast".
Not that your Hubby's a beast.
Or. Even savage.
I need a perm!!! I'm tired of sticking rollers in my hair and having a gorgeous coif tumble down into straight hair after an hour or two. Tired I tell ya! I swear if something isn't done soon, it's back to a bob-cut again!!
I just phoned a nice place here and they want to see my hair before they consider perming it because it's fine and white.
I think I'm going to be out of luck.
Good chiro appt today...he said he thought he heard me swearing again, but I swear I didn't say anything out loud. Boy does he know just where to poke and message where it hurts! Honestly. The abuse I endure!!
Off to do some traipsing around the interwebs...hope everyone's having a good day!
Oh, avon, I don't envy all the work you are in the middle of. Good luck with finding a doggie!
Music is definitely a soother, that's for sure!
Speaking of which, it's to 'soothe a savage breast' - not beast.
Lynn, I am with you on thinking of getting a perm... makes things so much easier!
Have a good evening, everyone - I'm off to finish making supper.
Not much got done today. Had a nap as I wasn't feeling that great. I did unpack a few boxes and now I have too many glasses and bowls for the place I have to store them......Hmmm..... rethinking!
The doggie we applied for has had so many applications that they have stopped taking applications but I think ours got in. We'll just have to wait.
Good morning!
Cold and rainy and dark...
