morning all.. lovely one here.. so far.. another busy one here, appts to do, laundry, some other projects to conquer.. hubby works tonite.
really hoping that all our plans for the summer works out for us and the kids.
Dan.. awesome tickets. if weather comes to its worse you can take a train or something.. save travelling on the roads.
can't remember who asked about the bills.. hubby does all that.. has been for a few years. i just make sure they are all in the same spot when he wants them.. and off he goes.. we RARELY ever have CC debt.. he's a little well you know that word about debt.. hates it.. its a good thing.. i can only imagine how our credit rating looks.
Holly... a little suggestion for you.. maybe you could turn his birthday party tradition into a celebration at the school. gather some icing in a few bowls.. add some 'accessories' for the top.. make the cupcakes and let the kids decorate their own. then all you have is the dirty bowls to wash.. no extra effort needed.. even participate in the fun if you can..im sure your GS and his classmates would love it.. (maybe not so much the teacher) unless you make it like an afternoon recess project. less mess outside?? just a thought..

^^^^ that's a great idea, but it's going to rain on Friday (what else lately), but I love the idea about letting the kids do their own decorating. I'll make a call to the 2 teachers and see if that's even an option, especially with the short notice. If not....well, I've already got the ingredients all measured out and sitting on the counter. I'm going to shower, then rest for a bit, then mix everything up and put it in the oven.

today is gonna be mega chore day - got a bunch of laundry (ugh), vaccuming, might as well mop the floors after that, cleaning out closets... got some crayon scribbles to wipe off the walls (non washable, so this part should be fun)

So....my first chore since I'm home. It's my grandson Ryder's 7th birthday on Friday. He's a summer solstice baby and every year since the day he was born, I have made him either a cake or muffins, and this morning he asked me to make muffins for his class on Friday. He's got 28 kids in his class, a grade 1/2 split class. I can't tell him no, as a grandma, that's not my job (as she snickers in the corner...), so I thought I would bake the muffins today, then tomorrow I could take all day to decorate them...my family says no way...What do you think? I just have to, I've done it since he was a baby but I'm going to space it out. They're at work, or school all day and dh is always running the roads so I can do it in my own time.

I know it hard to say no honey, but couldn't you just send DH out tomorrow to pick some up? I know you don't want to disappoint Ryder but I'm sure if you had said "Grandma still isn't feeling well enough yet, but I don't want to disappoint you and your friends, how about I send Grandpa out to get some? that way you'll still have your cupcake for you and your friends, and over the summer when we're together I promise to bake you a cake or some cupcakes" (not 28). I'm sure he would have understand.
I know it hard hon. but you have to take it easy. Please Holly don't over do it .

Dan - isn't ur party this weekend? or was it last weekend?
mrs sunshine - i feel just as overwhelmed as u... my problem is no matter how much i clean, my house can never stay clean for more than 1 day!!! its so frustrating to do the same never-ending chores everyday.

Seems so far away buy every vendor I call is already booking for 2015 and some 2016! The hall we got has 6 all together and we got the last available one for that date. Its crazy how far in advance ppl plan lol

Morning everyone, I actually slept in again this morning Look out the window and wish I was still sleeping. It's horrid.....cold and raining like crazy, when oh when will it end! I'm going to start lining up the animals two by two today.

Luv....it's to late (as she snickers uncontrollably), cupcakes are done. All 36 of them It wasn't that bad, all 3 pans baked at the same time (thank god for the new stove with the convection). I did place a call to Ryder's teacher yesterday but she didn't call me back Not sure whats up with that?

So, I guess today I'll decorate them. One of my dd's is going to come over just after lunch and she said she'll help me
