Did great yesterday at Goodwill, Value Village and Sally Ann
I needed "date" clothes and dresser work clothes.
The best was I found a Tommy Hilfiger dress-I was going to buy it at Vaughan Mills last month but for $85 I thought I better not And there it was for $7!!! I got some pillow shams for DS2 bed. An extra duvet and a beautiful cover. A sexy dress. Tons of tank tops,3 work sweaters, capris, shorts, 4 t shirts for Ds1&2, 6 fashion tops. Now I just need to shift this weight and I will be able to fit into all my work clothes

WHAT a lovely weekend! No weddings!!! Well...I did have two last weekend, and one on Friday and OMG, it's SO exhilarating to receive emails from my brides telling me that I "made their day"!!! There are certain brides that I feel close to, and we exchange lots of emails re weddings, our pets, family, etc, and I get to know them so well....gosh...I wish I could follow them throughout their marriage and all the wonderful things that life will bring them. I hope I can perform baptisms and naming ceremonies for them and see them again (as happened in the past!)...I get so gosh-darn attached to them!!!

Next summer will be my last. I've asked my home office to only send me couples who ask for me (the laughed and said THAT should keep me busy!), and no more camps with stone stairs to the beach. My legs can't deal with those anymore......and...
It's time hubby and I spent more summer days together glamping and enjoying each other's company....who knows how much time any of us have, and at our age, the answer can be scary...

Anyhoodles!! I hope everyone has a lovely week...less stress, more satisfaction at work, and an all-'round productive week!

I know my dad sure liked doing them! Not so much the funerals, though, I would imagine - we had an older parish when he was Deacon, so there were lots of those unfortunately...

It is special to have the continuity, that's for sure.

Very happy my husband is home today; his workplace has their own holiday today.

morning, early start here, off to buy paint and stickers for cars. will be reorganizing kitchen and dining room today. so glad the worst of the beautification process is over. its going to be a hot one this week. stay cool all.

Natalka...I can do funerals if I want to...and they do pay more than weddings, but ... I think I just want to stay on the sunnyside of life now ... I do enjoy performing Baptisms and Naming ceremonies, too!!

I need to write the last part of my letter to go to University...I already applied. Now need to send everything in. Fingerscrossed. I have to go back to high school first and do 12U math!!! At 38 I think I am crazy!!!

Abby you are NOT crazy...but you are a STRONG, COURAGEOUS, and SMART lady to do this.
I give you A LOT of credit, because doing this at this age can be scary, but to know that it's for the best and having the guts and strength to do it make you AWESOME in my books. Good luck Luv.
