So I did go to walmart fri morning at 7am and it was busy with people getting their PS4's lol. Me, no PS4 but I got a big boss oil less fryer. Over all reviews are 70% positive. Its funny because after using it 3 times now since fri. I would say most of the comments saying it doesn't work or leaves food soggy either don't follow instructions very well or just can't cook to start with lol. I made fries that came out crispy and homemade breaded chicken that also came out crispy. Sure not 100% like a deep fat fryer but I was looking for something to give me close to deep fried for my tiny apartment without it leaving my place stinky.

Weird because at walmart.ca it says not available in stores. However they did have it on roll back for $78..Sears is like $119 and big boss web site $99. Walmart does it again.

Hey, cabbie - that's quite the machine, I looked it up. Glad it works well for you!

We got a fair bit of snow overnight, some more may come today - not as much as AB though.
Son came over yesterday aft for a visit, and stayed for supper - so nice to have a visit with him; he'll be back today to help fix our van up a bit.

Back from a whirlwind 2 days, 2 nights with our Daughter, SIL and her Daughter....what a lot of walking, dining, more shopping, then we went for dinner at "Fred's Not Here" across from the Princess of Wales theatre, then to see Les Miz....absolutely unbelievable singing!! Bought DD her Uggs for Christmas, got a few ideas for others and it was so wonderful being with my Daughter and falling asleep just chatting....it's a real blessing.
Hubby put up the Christmas lights outside, decorated the post thingy with a garland and lights, but one of our tree decorations won't light so I guess he'll look into that today, get the deer out there, also...What a guy!!
I have a meeting today with a couple I'm marrying on Dec 21st...outside!...then I might venture over to our new Target for a look-see if the parking-lot isn't jam packed. I can wait until tomorrow morning, likely, when it'll be much quieter.
MrsSunshine, so happy to hear your Dad's home again and continuing on his road to recovery!
Dan: venue, Officiant...without those two, there's no wedding day! lol! I hope you find what you're looking for.
Natalka...wow, snow, eh? We've managed to keep that stuff away around here, although there was a sprinkling on the ground near Barrie when we drove down, but nothing on the way home, and +12 degrees. It's raining here today, which is great: it requires no shovelling!
Have a great Sunday everyone!!!Last edited by Lynn49; Sun, Nov 17th, 2013 at 10:46 AM.

Morning, everyone!
Wow. I don't think I've heard such strong, sustained winds like we're experiencing now, in a heck of a long time! I'm guessing there'll be quite a few trees down in town. Speaking of which....it seems like a bear got into our back yard 2 nights ago and snapped our lilac tree in half, taking the top off, while removing a bird-feeder! Poor tree.....
Have a lovely day, everyone!!

Crazy weather, indeed - watching the footage from the states - plus what you out East have been getting!
At least, with the snow, it's relatively calm - except for the blizzards!
My cold lingers on... yep, it's not awful, just that it's there...
Our son has a huge cold still, but the flu passed. He was a sweetie yesterday and took our van to the shop where he works to do some repairs, then came back for supper here - nice to know he really misses home cooking, and is a fan of me packing up leftovers... and anything else I can find for him. What he says, "Oh, you're such a Mom!"...
and then I get hugged and kissed mercilessly!!!
Just doing some kitchen cleanup, unpacking a box or bag here and there - good start to the week!
