Why on earth am I up so early?! We picked our DD up at the airport for her 12:21am landing, got home at 1, and I'm awake?! It was probably the garbage truck....Anyhoodles! She's safe at home again with lots of stories and we're looking forward to all the photos she took along the way!

Natalka...are you in so much pain at night that you can't sleep? I don't understand why some doctor somewhere can't give you some relief! Surely something must help.....! {{{hugs}}}

RNC, spring is right around the corner!! It's getting to that far-away corner through all the snow and sludge that's the problem.

Hi Folks! I'm BACK! (As Jack Nicholson said in "The Shining") - there was NO Christmassy stuff on the ship so I have to hit the road running. I DID write out some overseas Christmas cards while I was overseas - on the sea! Lots of BIG waves out there! (12' with BIG winds).
Both dh and I came back with ear-nose-throat infections so I'm dragging. I haven't read any of the past posts since I left - so my apologies. I know that you've had varying weather - we had mostly warm to cool and then DARNED COLD when we got home.
I feel like I'm out of the loop with frugal thinking although I bought VERY few things while away - mostly little Christmas gifts for family and some groceries in the states before we came back. Two turkeys - one for $9.00 and one for $6.00 which would have been $19 and $16 but we took advantage of a deal at Meyers in Detroit. So we'll be joining our US relatives in celebrating Thanksgiving this Thursday - If we feel up to it. Glad to be back on terra firma and also "O Canada."

I got brand new snow tires on one of my cars. I am going to put my other car away for the winter soon!!! maybe next week.

Okay. This has just got to stop. If it's not one of you getting sick on a cruise, it's the other! Heavens, do hubby and I have to go with you to keep an eye on you two?!! heheheh....So happy you're also back home safe and relatively sound..take care of yourselves...aren't you two cruising again in a week or so???

The weather was so pleasant here today, I shopped the entire day! I picked up some bits and bobs for 'the kids' for Christmas, but still no major gift for them, although I do have a few ideas...it's finding the darn stuff here that's the problem! I may have to recruit my niece in TO to pick a gift up for me at Bed Bath and Beyond and mail it...it's got to be cheaper than having them charge me $26 to send it! Although it might be a real bother for her....perhaps I'll find something at the Bay, which is close to where she works.....sigh.....

Off to a blissful sleep...as long as I'm not arrested as a spy tonight in my dreams again! Wow that was just a little scary, although when it was happening (the arrest, I mean), I was still pretty cocky about my chances of getting off! haha!
Can't dreams be a hoot, though?!
