Good morning!

Well, if we thought we've had a long stretch of frigid weather, tonight is forecasted to be the coldest. Windchill is currently -42, temp near -30; tonight it's going to be -54 windchill with temp below -40.

March definitely coming in like a roaring lion!

Staying warm so far!

Our son just left after being here for supper and a bit of a visit - he's really got a bad cough. I feel so badly for him, he's just been getting over a nasty cold that had held on for a very long time. However, he's around sick people at work, and so have his friends who live upstairs from him.
Anyway, he had a good appetite - and I sent him home with lots of goodies. "Oh, you're such a mom!" he says....

Well, windchill is less than forecast - it's ONLY -53, temp is -41. Gadzooks!

So, needless to say, we're staying in today!

For those who knew my husband had a hurt back, he went again yesterday for a session with his niece, a Dr. of TCM, had a big massage, acupuncture again, and - cupping! She also sent him home with Tiger Balm. He said the cupping felt odd, but good...

Well, by late evening, he was sitting on the couch - something he hadn't been able to do all week. Hopefully he feels good today!

You know, if I had ever suggested he get acupuncture or cupping, he would have never gone for them... interesting what 'family' can do!

Fireball Cinnamon Whisky adds Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah to a fresh pot of tea,
Don't worry if others question the principile or the respect-a-bil-ity,
Although I personally can't promote it as a good way to start off your day,
But, I think I read somewhere that cinnamon is beneficial in many ways,
This gives a whole new meaning when you're talking tea for two,
If there's any leftover, we can just add it to our simmering stew,
Maybe it will keep us warm as we usher in March & its' ides,
& I'll be sticking close to the fireplace until this nasty weather subsides.

Well, we managed to keep warm today - actually I spent most of the afternoon in bed, napping on and off - my cold has come on worse, plus I've had some dizziness/nausea from my Meniere's (ear disease) so not a good day that way.

I feel better now, after having something to eat, so I'm trying to catch up on some things this evening.
