And a new month - just realized it! Wowsers, of course it's trite - but time flies!

Well, we all know how cancer sucks.... my BIL (husband of my second oldest sister) is actually doing quite well, he's still undergoing chemo. He had surgery to remove a growth between esophagus and stomach, and radiation in the summer.

Now, it's on to my oldest sister, who is 68. She goes in Thursday for surgery - colorectal - then chemo. It was caught very early, so she's confident all will go well - she's a former nurse. She's been caring for her husband, who has serious health problems with his heart. They are in Edmonton. My second oldest sister, wife of above, is travelling from here to stay with her for a while, as long as her own husband handles his chemo this week alright.

This is all worrisome - after all, our parents passed away in their 60s from that darned CA, same one - though I hope treatments have advanced in two decades, and also that my sister's has been caught early enough.

Ordered a tray like this from a local shop. I used to work with the person that owns it at same hotel. I told them to give me $100 worth. They will make it DEC 23rd for me.

Yeah everything is local or Ontario at very least and mostly small batch. I know them and their catering is getting busy for Christmas but they said no problem we'll add your order to our board.

Remember hot fun in the summertime? That day was brutally hot, so the boys & I decided to have a BBQ. Our dog who resembled a sheep felt as if she should also get a hamburger. Glad I found this picture. J & M always made great dinner companions.

Good morning every1. We're suppose to get some sun this afternoon.

Believe it or not, after I posted yesterday afternoon, I decided to lay down for awhile - I was so tired.
I laid down about 5:15 and didn't wake up till after 4:00 this morning. Went to the bathroom, and fell asleep again till 7:30. I really was completely drained.
Another busy day today.

Hicks, it's hard to imagine what that kind of injury dies to our bodies, not just at the site of the injury, but generally. I found that it takes so much out of a person to simply get around, stand up, sit down, everything! It's no wonder so much rest is needed. Continue napping and resting; it's boring, but you'll be stronger for it later.
Gosh, that nap was a monumental "Walks" nap!

Thanks Lynn. You know it. I'm wiped, and I don't have it nearly as badly as you do.
As I get weaker, it's harder & harder to do anything, even transfer from the w/chair to the couch, etc.
Oh well, 1 day @ a time.
