Good morn!

Hoping it's a better computer day for me here - Milan did a lot of updating on it yesterday, plus he did cleaning with compressed air. I repaid him handsomely with a wonderful supper and a huge to-go bag of goodies.

Sure wish I had some pie today, lol!

I don't know how the kitten got through the night, but she's in good hands there so whatever they can do to keep her comfy, they'll do. I called our DD at work just now to find out, but I guess she has a client, but her message said that she'd only be working until noon...she took Tues and Wed off anyway so I'm wondering if they got an early appt tomorrow.

Natalka, I can't imagine how it might have happened...their home is a "if it's not useful it's tossed out" kind of a home, not a hint of clutter, spotless...it's a mystery! The only thing I can think of, is if she tried to jump into the family room from the top step of the second floor, but why would she?!

And yes, lol, a 3-hr drive to Toronto for the kitty to see an orthopaedic vet, overnight stay, probably...not quite the decompressing week they had all planned to enjoy.

She'll email me a pic of the little girl with her cast and cone...she tried to rip off her cast so it's on her head until she gets accustomed to her cart. So pathetic looking, but, 22Hicks, we both know it's such a relief to get a broken leg put in a cast, so hopefully she's resting comfortably.

Me? My back still feels shredded, and oh, boy, those spasms when I try to stand up and take that first step! Woohoo! As for heat, I'll take that temporary relief, lol....works for me! I hope I can piece that baby quilt top together today...at least half the windmill blocks, anyway.

OKAY! Enuff about my corner of the world, thank you, Natalka, 22Hicks, Avon, Walkonby, we'll all be fine and I hope and pray you all stay safe and are enjoying the first stirrings of Spring!

Update: just as I suspected, they're leaving after her 11pm client and heading to Toronto for kitty's appointment at 10am tomorrow morning. They found a hotel that has a big pool and slide and children's activities for March break week, so our Grandson will have some fun, too. He knows it'll be a long day at the vet's but he wanted to go with the kitten...time will tell if she needs the surgery or if the cast will do the trick.
So...onwards!

Thank you, 22hicks; life takes such weird twists and turns and usually when we least expect them. Which is why we toughen up in our more mature years...we know things will pass, yet wish they didn't happen in the first place!

So my 16 windmill blocks are sewn together and that's it for sewing today with that back of mine. Usually just the fact of sewing puts my back out but what the heck: in for a penny, in for a pound.
Ahhh...that's what I needed...Barry Manilow singing This One's for YOU on the 70s channel on tv....sigh....Good times, great memories!!

Is it raining everywhere today? Wish the kids could have had a better driving day...I guess it's the same in TO?

Lynn, there is just never knowing with cats and kittens, they do such odd things - and yes, it could have been a little thing and not even a big thing which gave the injury. I'm amazed that so many times we've had cats run through the room, and go careening off the top of the sofa, then a giant leap to their cat tree - and sometimes they miss... Or now, we have Taffy who will fall asleep on the top of a chair which is by a window, and I can't count how many times she's fallen off and hit the window.

And kittens just don't have a clue - they are clumsy, just learning to make their way in the world.

Sure just hoping all will be okay with kitteh.

No rain here, but snow may come tonight - for sure tomorrow and the next day.
And our back lawn had just come free of snow yesterday - we had uber-high winds, combined with the warmth, got rid of it so quickly.
We won't be getting much snow, but there are places in the province which will be getting tons.

Natalka, if anyone touched my back now, I'd kick them into next Monday! Ouch!

I'm using Voltaren and it takes a little of the sharp pain away, and jeepers, I just remembered that our DD gave me a Tylenol back relief pill the other day that she swears by ( yes, bad back, too ) and I meant to ask Hubby to pick some up for me, although I don't like to use Tylenol...have you used Robaxicet? I don't usually use anything special, I find suffering in mostly silence works for me...so...Robaxicet, then?
