Good morning, everyone...well, I really did a number on my back on Wednesday and it's still out of whack. I thought I could haul 4 bags of groceries into the house and hoist them onto the countertop....I did...but turns out it wasn't such a good idea. It feels as if it's torn in half. I had to take a good dose of painkillers just to go to painting yesterday and Hubby checked in on my a couple of times in case I had to leave...I hoped for better today, but nope. I'm walking like a little old lady...off to WW we go...although I'd rather just stay home.
DAN, any guy who uses the word "adorable"...let's just say he's a KEEPER!!!
I sure hope you all are in better shape than I'm in and able to enjoy your decompression this weekend from the past week.

Gee, Lynn, take it easy and I hope you are healed up soon.
well, my computer decided to start throwing hissyfits yesterday - I've tried evERYTHING I can to fix it, but it's just crap. Hoping son can fix it when he comes over tonight.
I sure miss it when I can't do all the regular things I like to do!
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Oh my @Lynn49 - I'm so sorry.
This is posted with 'tongue in cheek', but it has a ring of truth too.
What, did you want to be the only one here without a bad back ? Now you can join Nat, Walker, and I.
Now that you know how painful it is, no more lifting so much at a time.
Take care; lots of ice and rest, and I hope you feel better very, very soon.

Oh, goodie.
Now I have two mis-fit brats to contend with.
As a matter of fact, I have no problem being the centre of attention: aren't your backs cured already? Now it's my turn to complain, and complain I will! Walkonby, yes, "grabs" is a very good word for what this can do to a person...
22hicks, I've had a bad back since I had my babies, so this is nothing really new to me except for the fact that I forget I'm not in my 30s anymore and shouldn't be doing the things I feel I CAN do. I don't feel my age one single bit and if it wasn't for this bum knee I'd still feel like a young'un. But when we least expect it, BAM!! Our attention is drawn to the sad fact that we simply are not who we think we are. And I do forget, and I do pay for it. Dang it.
So for the next week or so I'll be oye-ing and ouching my way around the house, basking in every sliver of sympathy from my Hubby I can glean from him and feeling quite sorry for myself. It works for me.
The kids dropped over for a visit which was wonderful, we had dinner, I had wine, and we'll probably settle down for a few episodes of "House of Card" which I got Walkonby addicted to, AND who binge-watched this season's offernings! What an amazing series! Anything political like that, I just love...I just finished reading, "The Last of the President's Men" by Bob Woodward, and omg, amazing!!! It was worth the price of the book just to read the letters between Nixon and Haldeman, Nixon and Butterfield, and Haldeman and Butterfield...Nixon really was quite out of his mind, I think!!
Anyhoodles, enjoy your evening, everyone!!!!

Oh, 22Hicks, thank you, but I'm allergic to cold!
When our DD hurt her back the chiropractor told her, "no heat" so she didn't use heat on her back! When my back hurts, the only thing that helps is heat! I can stand upright after an hour or so with the heating pad searing my back. I could never apply ice...although yes, I lied: I did have to ice my knee for some reason sometime in the past couple of years. But it hurt, so I stopped.
