Walks don't you DARE!!!!!

Oh Lynn!! You would have been amazed at my restraint today! I left there fully satisfied, not bloated and icky and guilt ridden!
It was absolutely perfect for me to hit the salad bar 2 times, great no WW points options there, but found ONLY creamy dressings!!, Hrmph! So I searched around and found a pot with red wine vinegar and ginger at the grill table! Onto my salad it went.
Next I had 2 big servings of the cooked salmon, tons of various veggies, some with small bits of beef, had many versions of shrimp too. Only dessert I took was 1 lone coconut macaroon and 2 Tblsp of creme caramel, then fresh melon balls. Wouldn't you know it, this is Dumplings Festival!! Oh I wanted some but chose just 2 of the crispy tiny " purses " ones filled with vermicelli and veg, actually left the crispy tops of them on my plate because when that deep fried taste hit my mouth I was turned off, can ya imagine that? ha ha

Went to church this morning and shared my news there. Lots of support in my church family. Most of the people there have known my family for 50 years.

We will be heading to London tomorrow so my brother, who comes over for upper on Sunday, brought me a couple of raisin biscuits to take with me. (I like the Timmies ones as a bit of a treat.)

We are staying at a hotel tomorrow night and be ready to extend that.

We are watching "From Here to Eternity." Burt Lancaster sure is BUILT in this movie! Howcome I never noticed that when I was in my teens when I saw it before?

Just taking a break on here while the taters are boiling for supper - son is coming over to eat and for a visit, so we're having a big winner-winner-chicken-dinner!

It was a very busy day for me today.
A lady came for a visit after the 8 a.m. service this morning; then 2 others came ny after the 10 a.m. service; a friend, brought lunch, and 3 of his grandchildren; and finally a couple of neighbours popped in for a visit, and we ended up ordering a pizza.

It was so nice out this afternoon, I was able to spend 15 minutes out on the deck between visitors.
Incidentally, that was my first time outside, and on my own, since the end of October.

Well, I'm full from supper - it was so good, sometimes simple is the best!

Walkonby....I'm so proud of you!!!I doubt I'd be able to show much restraint at all there....wings, egg rolls and red sauce, here I come!!! Ugh....just the thought of those now...might as well just slather that Crisco on my thighs!!!

Avon, you're both in my thoughts and prayers so many times during the day; I'll be so anxious to hear from you when you return home. {{{big hugs}}}

22Hicks, how wonderful that you're thought of so highly by your friends and neighbours; that truly is a blessing. Oh, that first outing....isn't it just the best, and don't we take that for granted otherwise?!

Natalka, how nice sharing dinner with your family on Sundays; I hope you get a good night's sleep tonight.

Nothing much going on here. I was going to knit a baby blanket for our niece's baby due in June, but my hands won't take kindly to knitting a whole blanket, so I found a cute baby quilt pattern that I'm going to sew up for her. It'll be fun picking out the fabric patterns and colours in the quilt shop located conveniently just a couple of blocks away.. Took me most of the day to find a pattern I wanted to sew, so....again, life in the fast lane!

hee hee, @Lynn49 and her sidekick @22hicks ...... I KNEW I'd find a good chuckle in here!! I also got a visual of you Lynn with that tub of Crisco and your legs?? ( shudder! ).
I decided to make a giant pot of homemade soup starting at 10:45 p.m. and the 4 frozen chicken carcasses were glued together like an ice sculpture, so I'll be up for a bit yet. No one could eat anything else after the lunch buffet so I never made dinner, but then I realized the guys had nothing cooked up to take in for work tomorrow. Soup works. Maybe I'll grab them some crusty kaisers tomorrow.
Logging off soon to chop veggies to add to the stock.
