Hello! We're back from my assessment and yep, it's knee-replacement time. It was nice to get the confirmation that yes, your knee is shot and I'm not making it all up... The pain is real and the x-ray proved it, so I've got an appt with the surgeon I wanted at the end of June, right before he stops taking patients before the summer, so likely I'll be in line for the surgery by the the of the year. Two days in the hospital, though...I wasn't expecting that, I thought I'd be home the next day.
So...back to my exercises and using my little floor pedal-thingy, AND...ugh...using my cane again because he said I'm not walking properly without it. @22hicks , you know exactly what I mean, I think....and than you for the group hug...I'm still feeling shaky: isn't that weird?

I hope you're all having a sunny day; it's chilly here, only +5 but with the sunshine at least it looks nice out there!

Good that you have the plan in place - but is that long of a wait usual in ON or in your city? It's quite long.

Yes, intolerable here, although evidently we're tolerating it..
I'd have gone to Toronto for the surgery, but then no one here would touch it if something went
wrong, it'd be another trip down there...between a rock and a hard place, Nat...

You're right of course, my Friend: Spring is poopy. Fall is crisp. Winter is disgustingly horrible.

I understand. Here, the provincial government has made it a really big priority over the last years to drastically reduce surgery wait times, and it's been worth it - shorter times both to get to a specialist, then to have procedures done.

With health care cut backs here that is actually pretty good, thanks to the politicians past and present.

avon, not sure about what kind of cake, the posting didn't say - it's from a Ukrainian site.
However, by the shape I would think maybe medivnyk - which is a traditional rich honey cake flavoured with orange, but that's just a guess.
