I'm so very sorry that this has happened! But it looks like the insurance is going to be pretty fair with you. I hope everything turns out! In the stress of moving, you really don't need to be dealing with this too! Best wishes!

So glad you had insurance and things are looking up for you. I know the delay is disappointing not to mention all the work your hubby did for nothing now. But just think it will be even nicer when the insurance company is finish. Good Luck with everything from now on.

oh dear. So sorry to hear what's happened to you.
You must feel sad, enraged, and stressed all at the same time.
I hope they find out what happened in your backyard. Unfortunately, London has some hot spots for arson (I suspect most cities do) and I don't know where your new house is, but one of London's hot spots used to be the Westminster ponds area (Wellington/Southdale East and environs). Can't remember where the others were.
Glad that you and your family weren't in there at the time though and hopefully insurance will continue to be cooperative and they'll have you in there in a jiffy."Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle

thanks everyone. I feel a bit better. As for if there have been more fires in the area I don't know, but if Patience Cres. counts for hot spots to arson in this town then there might have been. Now I just have to try and make the kids not remember that we were going to move this weekend, they are only 2years old and 3.5 years old, We haven't told them about the fire at all. I don't think they will understand it all and my 3.5 year old will never stop asking about why, how, and who, or she will keep telling people, which in the end will just give her nightmares about it.

It's probably best not to tell the kids about the fire till they're much older. They'll only have nightmares and you don't want their first experience in the new house to be one of fear or being afraid it'll happen again.
If it were me, I would be telling my kids that some unexpected repairs came up and that means the move is delayed for a bit. It's telling them the truth, just not the whole truth. Because they're 2 and 3, they don't need the whole truth. lol."Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle

Omg! I am so sorry! I am glad that everything is fixed! you are so lucky that you were not in the house at the time!
I also think that it is the best idea that you don't tell your kids because you don't really know how they will take it and could become scared that it will happen again! I wish you the best of luck!

Wow oh my gosh so glad you guys hadn't moved in yet and so good that you have insurance and they're being fair with you but man what a mess when you were so close to moving in and a new place at that. A lot of bad news lately all around. *hugs*
