EXPANDED Recall... Kellogg's Mini Wheats

I only had a couple of boxes but I gave them to my daughter so she is checking the numbers I am hoping it will just take a phone call.

17 minutes later and I am still on hold to Kellogg's as I have 4 boxes all with the gas form cut out and of course no receipt.

I just got off the phone from Kellogg's and they will be sending me out 4 coupons to replace the ones I am throwing out.
It doesn't seem to matter about not having a receipt or the cutting out of the gas forms. Good news from Kellogg's for those who were in the same boat as me.

great. mine are all recalled...lovely. of course including the half eaten box we have in the pantry and all of the other ones we have eaten recently as I bought them at the same time and all the ones left in my stockpile...and best part (sarcasm), I can't get through on the phone! boohoo!!!

There is another recall out. Mini wheats bite size frosted and unfrosted. I copied this from a website. They are also recalling the regular original and brown sugar ones now.

The brand of cereal for possibly contains fragments of metal mesh from a manufacturing part, according to this press release.













Kellogg's initiated a voluntary recall of cereal due to the possible presence of fragments of flexible metal mesh from a faulty manufacturing part. Recalled products include only Frosted Mini-Wheats Bite Size Original and Mini-Wheats Unfrosted Bite Size with the letters KB, AP or FK before or after the "Best If Used Before" date.

Note - the list given in post #25 above is so far just for the US, so says the Kellogg's US site. Nothing yet added to the Canadian recall - but that doesn't mean there may not be additions...

This info looks American. "frosted" is am American word. Ours are "Original" And all these measurements are in ounces. The picture is also different from the Canadian ones

is anyone else having trouble getting a hold of Kelloggs? I emailed them early in the week and got no response. I tried to call them on Friday but the call wouldn't even go through.

I assume there's thousands of other people trying to do the same thing I am, but has anyone got through during "low volume" hours? What hours are considered low volume?
