With the store I worked for they sent our a memo saying staff were not allowed to combined the employee discount with other discounts .

See, the store I work at says you can have the HBC Customer Appreciation disc. with your employee disc (if you are using your HBC CC) but you can't use your SPC and your employee disc. on a normal day...

It appears that HBC doesn't have a standard policy when it comes to employee's discounts and other discounts.

When I had first started working there, you were allowed, then about three months into working there the store had changed the policy.

I can see why they wouldn't let you use the SPC discount, but anything else shouldn't make a difference.

We haven't heard anything about not being able to use it with any other discount, and to be honest, I don't see why they should care since it is helping their "credit blend" (what they call when people use their store CC)....

This is what my son gets too.

Yeah that makes sense. The one my friend works at doesn't give as good discounts but that's awesome you got something a lot better!

I use to belong to one union
This is the deals they got for union members:
    10-25% discount on car rentals
    discount at hotel chains
    VIA rail discount

Does anybody know if any employers give a discount on Costco memberships?
