did you start planning your garden..flower beds,pots,etc...

I have a good idea of what I would like to plant this year. Marigolds, Wave Petunias, Geraniums, Morden rose bush, and a Mandevilla. I bought a Mandevilla (tropical flower) last year at Walmart for around $8.00. It bloomed like crazy in late July with pretty pink flowers. My vegetable garden will consist of tomatoes, onions, carrots, and basil.

I have a tiny balcony...we just bought a cute patio set and an utdoor rug..i will get some hanging flowers and some to go on the balcony railing ...not sure what flowers though oh and patio lanterns hehe

I have a plan, ordered seeds...just need the snow to go away, still almost a foot in my garden.

We have three raised beds (4'x12'), I will plant in them: beets (red and golden), carrots, onions and garlic, peas, mixed lettuce and romaine lettuce, dill, basil, hot peppers and cucumbers. We have a ground plot for spuds (red and yellow) and the kids will make a pumpkin patch too. We also have a raised strawberry bed. I will be planting sweetpeas and sunflowers along the chainlink fence that borders the garden on two sides. In my two front beds I have lots of irises and poppies that came from my Gramma's homestead garden, I also like to plant lots of geraniums and pansies...and whatever tickles my fancy. I usually fill lots of planters for in the front too.
I can't wait for the snow to go away!!

I will be planting the same things that I usually do in my three backyard garden patches. I planted onions last spring that will be big to harvest this fall. I will plant more onions to grow for the next year. My vining patch will have zuchini, spaghettis squash, cuecumbers, and dill (which I planted years ago). My biggest garden patch has green onions (I planted years ago), yellow string beans, tomoatoes (big and small), swisschard, lots of peas. Already have a rhubarb plant that I established years ago.

Last year I finally found flwoers that liked my hot front flower bed. Their flowers resembled gerberdaisies. Their flowers went to seed, I left their name tags in so that I know what they are. I also have orange tigerlillies, irisis, and red tulips (which I am waiting to see).

Thinking and dreaming.... though we can't plant here til the end of May - sometimes into June...

We have a small plot at the front of the house, plus I usually do about six urn containers.
