Pepperoni and Mozzarella Pull Apart Bread~
Ingredients
1/3 cup favorite flavored dipping oil
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 (16 ounce) pkgs pre-made pizza dough or homemade pizza dough
1 (7 oz) pkg sliced pepperoni
1 (8 oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
2. Separate pizza dough into small bite sized pieces.
3. In a bowl add your favorite flavored dipping oil. Toss dough pieces in dipping oil to lightly coat.
4. Layer dough pieces in bottom of bundt or fluted tube pan, next layer sliced pepperoni, shredded cheese and sprinkle with garlic powder. Repeat layers again, and end with final layer of dough pieces.
5. Bake in the preheated oven until the bread is browned and cooked through in the center, 30-40 min
6. Remove from oven, and invert the pan on a cutting board; the bread will fall out of the pan in one piece.
7. Serve by pulling the bread apart into individual servings with optional marinara dipping sauce on the side.
I usually layer until about 2/3 of the pan is full. Definitely plan for it to feed a hungry crowd. You can scale down the ingredients if you choose to feed a smaller crowd. You can serve it hot or room temperature.JOIN NOW WIN BIG in the Survivor Pool starting in the Spring

Seven-Layer Dip

Ingredients
2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
2 avocados, mashed well
1 cup low-fat Greek yogurt
2/3 cup black beans
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Sliced black olives and scallions to garnish
Directions
- Spread chopped romaine lettuce at the bottom of a large bowl.
- Add avocado layer on top, and smooth out with a spoon to even height.
- Spoon Greek yogurt layer, and smooth if necessary.
- Layer black beans, then diced tomatoes on top.
- Sprinkle cheese, and add olives and scallions.
Serves 8.

- Hot Pepper Beef
This is a recipe I recommend for cooks who have limited access to Asian ingredients. The sauce has a wonderful balance of savory, spicy, mellow sweet flavors. Probably the most “exotic” ingredient is hoisin sauce. My favorite brand has always been Koon Chun but Kikkoman now produces a good hoisin sauce.
- 12 ounces lean flank steak
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon plus 1 tablespoon Shao Hsing rice wine or dry sherry
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons peanut or vegetable oil
- ½ cup thinly sliced red onion
- 3 slices ginger, smashed
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 large green bell pepper, cut into ½-inch wide strips
- Cut the beef with the grain into 2-inch-wide strips. Cut each strip across the grain into ¼-inch-thick slices. In a medium bowl combine the beef, garlic, soy sauce, cornstarch, 1 teaspoon of the rice wine, ¼ teaspoon of the salt, pepper, and 2 teaspoons cold water. Stir to combine. Stir in the sesame oil. In a small bowl combine the ketchup, hoisin sauce, and the remaining 1 tablespoon rice wine. Stir to combine.
- Heat a 14-inch flat-bottomed wok or 12-inch skillet over high heat until a bead of water vaporizes within 1 to 2 seconds of contact. Swirl in 1 tablespoon of the peanut oil, carefully add the beef and spread it evenly in one layer in the wok. Cook undisturbed 1 minute, letting the beef begin to sear. Then, using a metal spatula, stir-fry 1 minute, or until the beef is lightly browned but not cooked through. Transfer the beef to a plate.
- Swirl the remaining 1 tablespoon peanut oil into the wok, add the onion, ginger, and red pepper flakes, and stir-fry 10 seconds or until the aromatics are fragrant. Add the bell pepper, sprinkle on ¼ teaspoon of the salt, and stir-fry 30 seconds or until well combined. Return the beef with any juices that have accumulated to the wok, sprinkle on the remaining ½ teaspoon salt, swirl the ketchup mixture into the wok, and stir-fry about 30 seconds to 1 minute or until the beef is just cooked through. Serves 2 to 3 as a main dish with rice or 4 as part of a multicourse meal.

Homemade Hamburger Helper
Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes
Yield: Makes 4-6 Servings
Easy to make and a real crowd pleaser. Try it from scratch, you'll be glad you did.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
cooking spray
2 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups hot water
2 cups elbow macaroni
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
pinch crushed red pepper flakes
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Spray with cooking spray and add the ground beef. Brown until cooked through and no longer pink. Discard any fat. Add the pasta, milk, water and spices and stir to combine. Bring to a boil and turn the heat down to simmer. Cover and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente. Add the cheese and stir to combine. Serve immediately
