    Ingredients

    1 1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil (I used olive oil, but you can use any oil, coconut oil, baby oil, canola oil, etc.)
3 tablespoons citrus juice (lemon or lime)
    Razor

Mix everything together. I put mine in a mason jar and just shook it all up. (If you take the glass jar into the bath or shower with you, please be extra careful.)

Soak your legs in the tub for 5 minutes. Or if you’re taking a shower, wash and conditioner your hair first, then after your legs have had a chance to soak for a few minutes, apply the mixture to your legs and rub it in. I was surprised at how GOOD this felt! I ended up using it on my feet and arms as well!

The abrasiveness of the sugar rubs off all the dirt and dead skin, the lemon juice works as a mild skin peel revealing brighter, smoother skin, and, of course, the olive oil penetrates deep into the skin and provides long-lasting moisture.
After rubbing the mixture in for a few minutes…. it’s time to shave your legs.
if you make this into a thick paste you can use on your face as a scrub. will really brighten up your face...and doesn't taste too bad either. lol

    Ingredients:

    • 1 cup raw almonds
    • water for soaking nuts
    • 2 dates (optional)
    • 1/2 tsp vanilla (optional)
    • 3 cups water

    Preparation:
    1. Place the almonds in a bowl and cover with about an inch of water. Soak the almonds overnight or for at least 10 hours (the longer you soak the almonds, the creamier the milk will be).
    2. Drain and rinse the almonds.Blend(highest speed for 2 minutesor until the nuts are completely broken down)the 3 cups of water, almonds and dates until well blended and almost smooth.
    3. Strain the mixture through several layers of cheesecloth or a nut milk bag.
    4. Stir in the vanilla extract, if desired.
    5. You can refrigerate the almond milk.Stays fresh for about 3 days.
Tip plus: You can dry the nut remnants in a very low oven (200F) to make almond flour.

    DIY Natural Floor Cleaner

    http://www.goodshomedesign.com/diy-natural-floor-cleaner/
In the last decade, the trend is clearly heading toward a more organic approach. People and business owners around the world are looking to manufacture products that are non-synthetic and non-toxic, while the demand for natural things is on the rise. The DIY field is constantly surprising everybody with its products that can easily replace the industrial supply. An example of these substitutes is this homemade natural floor cleaner. You will need to have: • water, 1 cup
    • vinegar, 1 cup
    • alcohol, 1 cup
    • dish soap, 2-3 drops
    • lavender essential oil, 5 drops
    • orange essential oil, 5 drops
    • tea tree essential oil, 3 drops
    • a 24 oz fine-mist spray bottle Instructions: Use the bottle like a cocktail mixer for all the ingredients mentioned above. Shake for a couple of minutes, until they are combined. Before using, vacuum or just sweep the area you want to clean. Spray your natural homemade cleaner on the floor, or on other surfaces for that matter. Finish by wiping up with a microfiber cloth. If you prefer using a mop and bucket, replace the measurements above with 1/2 cup of vinegar, and 1/3 cup of alcohol, plus a few drops of dish soap, for a gallon of water.

I have a great saving tip - switch from using traditional deodorants to a crystal stick. They work awesome, are better for your skin and one stick which sells at the Bulk Barn for $5.99 lasts a year in use! I bought two of them, used a Bulk Barn coupon (spend $10, save $3) and for $10.54 with taxes I have enough to last me for two years. I have convinced my immediate family to all switch over and all of us love the crystal sticks and of course saving money.

    DIY DRYER SHEET ALTERNATIVE

SUPER simple tip ..works great and saves you A LOT of $!!

    You’ll need:

A container with an airtight lid (I use a 2QT food storage bowl w/screw on lid)
    4-6 sponges
2 cups fabric softener (any brand/’flavor’)
    4-5 cups water

Gently stir fabric softener and water together in container ..add sponges and put on lid to leave soak.
To Use: squeeze out 1 sponge and put it in the dryer with your load of wet clothes ..when clothes are dry, put the sponge back into the container of mix.

Results: EXACTLY the same as using the expensive dryer sheets that get thrown away!!!!!

Refill container as needed ..but that won’t be very often at all …MAYBE twice a year or less!!!

NOTE: If you use a smaller container...just make as much mix as needed to fill it …it’s basically 1 cup softener to 2 cups water (a little extra water doesn’t hurt)

has anyone tried this softener one,..does it work.. do the sponges fall apart or melt.. seems like a great idea.
my sister actually takes hers once used and ties it to the next.. until she has a ball.

    Simple as that!
