Natrel Baboo Food Bank Drive…

I posted in the trade section a thread for RRRLF natrel Baboo FPC's for a milk drive and the response from you amazing SCers was overwhelming! My plan was to get as many Natrel baboo FPC’s as possible for a huge roundup and donation to Hamilton Food Share (they distribute food to all the local food banks). There are many families who cannot afford to purchase fresh milk for their children to drink and since most food banks don’t provide fresh milk, I thought this would be a great way for the little ones to get the Nutrition they need. I had been saving up my baboo FPC’s and had a great head start on this project!

I have an appointment with Hamilton Food Share on Friday (the 21st) to drop off the donation… just in time for distribution when the food banks will be in need the most.

I couldn't have done this without all of you, so THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!


After hours and hours, and hours, and hours of shopping and visiting every walmart, shoppers drug mart and major grocery store in Hamilton, Burlington, Waterdown, Stoney Creek, Dundas and Ancaster, we were able to accumulate 99 CARTONS OF BABOO!!!!

**Update Dec 20th**

Spent another 6 hours driving to every store in Hamilton yesterday in search of Baboo with at least 6 weeks until expiry (Hamilton Food Share requirement)... they are becoming increasingly harder to find! We now have a total of 89 cartons!! Will be on another "baboo hunt" today in Burlington to use up the remaining FPCs. So excited for our appointment tomorrow with The Hamilton Food Share to hand over so much toddler milk!



**Update Dec 17th:**

My mailbox has been full every day with envies full of baboo FPCs! You guys are so amazing. I have already purchased 67 cartons of baboo and me and my volunteers are going to be shopping every day for more.

I have also included a honorable mention of the generosity of the members on this forum on my charity's new website (essentialaid.ca)on the homepage, under Latest Projects.

I think I am too late to help out with your drive but that is an amazing idea..I will use my FPC and put it into the food bank box at Loblaws!

Great idea!! Just make sure the expiry is at least 6 weeks away, as most food banks only accept items with at least 6 weeks left before expiration
