I fell off the wagon lol. I did cut out sugar and gluten for almost two months and lost some weight. I didn't weigh myself but my clothes were looser.
I've noticed if I eat gluten (100 percent whole wheat bread, bagels, pasta, pizza etc), I feel a bit bloated, tired, and my stomach feels off. So I've cut it out. For the past week I've stopped eating gluten products and noticed a difference. More energy, less bloated.
My biggest weakness is sweets. Cookies, chocolate, cake etc. I've cut it out for three days now too.
I recall at least 15 years ago I rarely ate sweets and never really craved them. I also didn't bake much back then either. I would eat a few sweets at birthdays or Christmas and that is it. The rest of the year I ate none.
Today I had a tiny piece of brownie (slaps wrist) and I actually felt sick. Not sick as in punishing myself. Actually my stomach felt off, sickly from a tiny piece. I went through my cupboards and pulled out flour, white sugar, brown sugar and cookies. Phoned my neighbour up and asked if she would like these items. She was happy to receive them (she likes to bake). I figured if I don't have them I'm less tempted to bake. I kept a bit of sugar in case company would like it in coffee etc.
I found once I cut out the above, I didn't really miss it.
Plus I'm now doing cardio for 1 hour 5-6 days a week. Free weights three times a week.Last edited by toban; Sat, Jul 13th, 2013 at 11:05 PM.

Down 1, but wasn't as good the second half of vacay. We will see what this week brings.

I've noticed a difference already with cutting out gluten (breads, pasta, bakery items) and sugar. I feel as though my energy has increased. Hmmmm..... sort of felt like Speedy Gonzalez when I was cleaning today lol. Less tired too. I haven't weighed myself (been only a week) but have felt I have lost some weight unless it's just water weight/bloat. My stomach feels smaller. So far my exercise routine is 1 hour of cardio 5-6 days a week. Although I did skip today lol.
