Love seeing pics!!! I would get rid of the food boxes out of the freezer,I am a bit ocd that way and it's amazing how much room they take up!

hi everyone, sorry I've been MIA this weekend. it's been one thing after another and this is the first time I've been able to get onto the computer to even breathe.

I'm sorry for everyone who is had a crappy weekend dealing with house things and pet things and family things. I know that sometimes life can get you down but I hope you can find strength and also know that it's ok to be sad and it's ok to be down once in awhile.

I'm heading out to go to the post office. I'm excited about the package I made for my buddy but I always think there could've been more I could've bought too. =) I just hope they like it.

thanks for being such an amazing group of women. you inspire me daily and I am thankful.

Well ladies, I know you are all waiting with baited breath to know how I made out with Operation MILF today (Julia - did you figure out what it means based on everyone's hints? Lol). My dad and I went skiing this morning and I impressed him and his friends (they're all retirees that ski here all week/winter). I was able to keep up with them etc. Not sure if there are any skiers on here, but basically skiing in Ontario is very different than skiing on mountains primarily because of the endurance....the runs are soooo much longer which makes it a great work out...you can even get some cardio if you make a point of skiing aggressively enough! So, that was good. My theory is that I need to use this time while I'm breastfeeding to "boost" the exercise I'm doing and help me see results faster (I'm a very competitive and results oriented person! ) we'll see how this plan works out for me

Julia - Don says it took him 1 hr 45 mins to do the 15 km drive to work this morning! Craaaazy.

Coyote - I ADORE the punny pic you posted. Don hates puns (doesn't find them funny in the least) and his cousin and I adore them...to the point we both tear up...I think he's gonna love the pic...I posted it to FB to share the pure genuis of it with the world.

I love the wine glasses...would never use them but they're friggin awesome!

Is anyone else already jonesing for the next train and buddy to shop for? Haha...I like shopping.

I didn't wrap every gift in the box....there was zero space for any paper, cards, etc. Sorry buddy! Too many presents and no other boxes in my house so it all had to go!

i was just going to post this too!

My "pantry" cupboard is really deep but not tall, so it's impossible to reach to the back if it. So everytime I buy more of something I have to take EVERYTHING out, put the new stuff at the back, and then put everything back in again! It sucks but if I don't I end up with tons of expired food

hubby is the worst when it comes to freezer food. He fills up our freezer with chicken & steaks/roasts that he buys on sale, but when he goes to cook he buys fresh so the ones in the freezer just sit there. Then I can't buy the food I want because there is no room in the freezer.

now I Know you are all thinking that I can cook this food in the freezer, but a reluctant cook. I don't really like to cook meat because I'm always scared that I won't cook it long enough and poison everyone, so it always ends up really dry. That being said I do cook ground meats - sheppards pie, lasagna, balonaise (sp?) sauce from scratch etc.

that reminds me, does anyone have a EASY homemade meatball recipe?

I'm not a GREAT cook of ALL things but I do somethings VERY well. Meatballs is one of them.

1lb Ground Beef(or ground chicken if you like a healthier option)
    1 & 1/2 TBSP garlic powder
    1 & 1/2 TBSP onion powder
    1 TBSP black pepper
    1/2 TBSP salt
    1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese(grated)
    1/2 Cup Bread Crumbs
    1 Egg(might need a second egg)

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Roll mixture into "golf ball" size balls. Place into sauce(homemade or canned/jar is fine) and bring to hard boil. Reduce to gentle simmer and cook for 1.5 hours. FANTASTIC meatballs!!!!!

You can added minced onion and garlic if you wanted to....

Best part about this recipe... instead of making "golf ball" sized balls... form it into a "loaf"... cover with canned tomatoes, add sliced carrots and potatoes around it... put in oven for 2 hours @ 350 and TADA... you have mighty tasty Meatloaf

Sounds like a GREAT morning Pam!! Just take the mama with a grain of salt and pick your battles.

KK7, my kids are making brownies right now, they used a mix and added marshmallows and peanut butter.... it smells so good. I don't know how to calculate the points on them but if I stand on my head and blink rapidly while eating I don't think there are any calories in them.

If you eat them while talking to a friend... the calories don't count.

oh man... there was one more place I was going to see but it isn't finished being built yet. Or I guess it is today lol, but it costs more and is the same builder as the noisy house. I'm sure I don't want it. But he guy just sent me pics he took today at the last walk through and it's so pretty!!! Sigh... I'm not going to take it but man I want a pretty house. I will keep the pictures so I know what I want when I can buy in maybe 5 to 10 years

I could use some chocolate chip cookies or brownies. Might have to go to Timmies downstairs. It's not Feb yet so the frugal hasn't started yet. I don't know what I'm going to do when roll up the rim starts, how will I resist?

And I'd love to do the next package train soon. I haven't mailed this one yet but will this week, I was trying to wait for some nicer weather... not sure that's going to happen lol. Don't worry, it's not going that far... relatively speaking. and it'll be mailed by the mail date
